I really hope you enjoyed the video, this took me so much time, so if you did end up enjoying this, I would really appreciate a like and share! let me know who you want next!
I would like to see Amaz next! He's one of Hearthstone legends who inspires me as well as everyone else, and we need to remember him as much. Great content, Rarran, as always. You look fantastic!
For someone like me those vids are great :) So yes, please, keep'em coming :) (though I can't say who I want to see next since I don't know the comunity well ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ )
Thanks for putting together this video, Rarran. Firebat happened to stop by my bachelor party before my wedding a couple months back. He's very happy and doing super well. One highlight that I'll always remember is when my bachelor party friends decided to challenge him in Chess. James insisted he wasn't very good or experienced, but decided to give it a go anyways. He went undefeated all week and improved dramatically game after game. A true legend.
I was also thinking why I don't see Frodan as a host in HS anymore. Is he on hiatus? Temporary or did he left HS scene as well? Maybe a video about him would be nice after few more previous HS players.
Ive stopped playing Hearthstone a whole ago and still watch the occasional video of Kibler and Regis. I gotta say, Firebat was by far my favorite guy to watch play. The way he explains his thought process behind his moves and his genuine reactions to shenanigans and stoic silliness just vibes. I also miss Editor, what a duo.
Damn I miss Firebat so much, I used to watch him to sleep for like 3 years, dude had a vibe no one else had, and ofc so so skilled, loved every content he put out there. Great video you made me remember an old wound.
The vibe thing was so true. Of all the games and all the content creators his vibe was unique and enjoyable while being relaxing. Seems weird to say but it's true.
I'd have to say firebat kept my interest in hearthstone for a while, I still think to this day his attitude was one in a million, great guy. Glad he's taking on something new. Lifes ever changing and so are we. Great job Rarran.
You can see from ETC’s reaction how bad he felt to relegate a legend of the game. Interesting how a reaction like this means so much. The respect for Firebat, bad feelings about the gm system and how ETC is as a person considering that other types of people would be gloating at the thought of eliminating a world champion.
I miss the chill Firebat streams. He was one of the best and communicating nuances to the game and was a genuinely cool dude. Glad he's doing well and hope the best for him.
Thanks for making this video. I'm glad to know he's doing well. Firebat is the only content creator I genuinely miss seeing. I'm still subscribed, and I probably always will be. I never watched him for Hearthstone, I watched him for him. His personality. His attitude. Even his cheesy dad jokes. So many good memories. The pumpkin carving for Halloween. Dressing up in different costumes for charity (including a bee outfit that was WAY too small, haha). He was always so wholesome and real. It never felt forced or fake. And that's part of what I appreciated. Even though you never met him he still felt like a friend. I doubt there will ever be someone who can fill that void, but I'm glad he's doing what's best for him (and Rachel, God bless her). James, if you ever see this, thank you for what you gave to us. You didn't have to, but you made our lives better by letting us be a small part of yours. I'm sure I speak for all of your fans when I say we wish you all the best man.
Firebat was one of my favorite players of all time. It’s sad to see him move on from the game, but I hope he succeeds at whatever he’s doing now and will do in the future. Goodbye to the first ever Hearthstone champion.
When Omni/Stone and Deck Doctor started, I remember thinking this was the perfect outlet for Firebat's skills, beyond the competitive scene. One of the most entertaining moments I can remember has to be watching him play Dungeon Runs nearly two hours straight with Ike and Zalae. Like DisguisedToast, Savjz, and many other competitive Hearthstone players, Firebat prioritized fun & memes whenever it was possible. I hope he will keep his UA-cam videos because they really are entertaining enough to rewatch. Great video Rarran!
I'm really loving these informational videos. I've mostly gotten burnt out on gameplay videos because of the current state of constructed and mercenaries, but I've pretty much always got a video of this type going in the foreground/background. Keep up the great work, I look forward to watching any and every one of your videos of this type.
God I fucking love this man. I wish he maintained any kind of social honestly, even just seeing him post his meals to an instagram story would be so reassuring
Firebat was the reason I got into hearthstone back in 2016 and I agree the game now has changed so much and become a whole lot less fun. I still like watching his older vids and its a shame how things had to end. Hope to see him doing well again.
We miss ya, Firebat, but wish you the best in your other endeavors! Thanks for this, Rarran! I'd wondered why he'd gone quiet, but good to know he's doing well after moving on. An inspiration for many of us who still endure the insanity of Hearthstone.
I'm really glad to see this, in particular Frodans comments letting us know Firebat is doing well. While I've never been much of a twitch user just in general, I absolutely loved his youtube channel. From when I subscribed years ago to the day he stopped uploading, I watched pretty much every video. He's the only youtuber before or since who has been able to get me consistently excited for daily uploads, at least for more than a week or two. Hell, even after I quit hearthstone completely I kept watching firebats stuff. His chill personality and thorough explainations for every play he made, resulted in content that was simultaneously comfy and engaging, and I was able to gather enough of an understanding of the meta through his videos to not be completely lost. The editing was also great, games like hearthstone have a lot of waiting that can be cut out without removing the actual plays and thought process stuff which really helps keep things interesting, and the various meme edits were very much in line with this too, being a rare treat that'd make you laugh without distracting from the gameplay. All of this to say, I really loved Firebats youtube channel, and as someone who really likes tft and wants to get good, I wholeheartedly welcomed his tft content, so it was quite sad to see all of the comments from viewers who weren't interested in that game paired with the major drop in viewership, and even more sad when his videos stopped appearing in my subscription feed. I did eventually accept that he had moved on, but it's still great to hear that he's doing well out there, and if you somehow stumble upon this comment, thanks for all the content you provided over the years, I wish you the best!
Dude this video is amazing! Good work man, it is also genuine and I feel the goosebumps when u wish Firebat well. This kind of video requires so much effort, but I really enjoyed it. Hopefully you cam cover more angle regarding hearthstone we dont know about. Cheers, you are fantastic!
Just throwing another comment in for some firebat love and respect. I’m glad he’s chosen to do something that will make him happy and I wish him every success
Thanks for the video Rarran. Miss Firebat. He had some of the most entertaining and unique HS videos. Great presentation and personality. Goodbye know he's off doing better things.
Huge shout out for compiling this. I was genuinely thinking about it yesterday when it pops up in my recommended vids. I was a huge fan of Firebat, the way his brain wrapped around HS astounded me, I played a bunch of his decks and they were rock solid. He had such a chill and relatable personality and honestly there hasn't been a content creator like him, at least in my eyes. I'm glad he's doing well, he deserves to.
Firebat was easily my favorite content creator and legitimately got me to consistently get on to UA-cam. I recently stopped playing Hearthstone and have stopped really engaging with it's content. But this video was fantastic. I've caught a bit of your content Rarran and really enjoyed your take on decks, but it wasn't hard to see your attitude towards the game change over the past year or two. This is my first and will likely be my only comment on a video, but you did a phenomenal job here and I'm looking forward to going through the rest of your informational videos. Honestly, great job man and I hope things are going well!
Thank you for posting this and working hard to gather this information. I really miss Firebat. His content in conjunction with his laid back, dad humour and informative videos. I'm glad he's doing well, I'm happy for him
I can't see if this was mentioned, or if it's particularly relevant, but he also got kinda shafted in a different tournament a few months before he stepped away from the scene. He was streaming live for 19 hours and decided to sleep before his next game, which was hours away, until it got rescheduled while he was asleep. Nobody reached out to inform him in an official capacity and, when he didn't show, he was disqualified and fined $1000. To be honest I'm surprised he kept up with Hearthstone for as long as he did after that.
I used to watch Firebat videos every day in the days of Un'goro, KoFT and Kobolds and Catacombs. His content was just solid, no click-bait, no fake internet persona to generate followers. Just a dude having fun. And I liked how he would explain all of his moves while playing Hearthstone - I feel like I became a better player by watching him. Compared to other streamers (eg. Kripparian), who don't explain anything and get all pissy when their chat question their plays.
I stopped playing Hearthstones around the Witch Woods expansion, but it's the occasional Firebat video popping up in my UA-cam feeds that kept me connected to the game at all. Now this video about him is the first Hearthstone content I've consumed in like a year.
Firebat was one of my favorite guys to watch videos from when I played Standard HS pretty consistently. It'd be a fun and exciting hit of nostalgia to see him playing again but I'm just glad I got to enjoy him while he was around. Hope he's doing well. He really did a lot for me and he deserves happiness for that.
Firebat is definitely my favorite hearthstone player. I lost basically all interest in standard about the same time he did. He was fun to watch and the chill vibe he always had made him great to see.
I'm so glad you found a niche that works for you and creates such great content. "The Hearthstone Historian," someone who cares about the game's past as much as he does its present and future.
Sometimes life just shows you are done, man, and he saw it. As he would say: "he can see the lines". He knew it was his time since Grandmasters and the following bad things happening around him, and he is surely going to still be great at anything he does. Honestly I wish he would make some casual vlogs, show up on social media, or maybe create anything to throw around whenever he wants to
Firebat was one of my favorite content creators and an OG. Obviously, he'd been thinking about and talking about leaving streaming and content creation for a bit and your video does a good job explaining why. I think it was the lack of closure that keeps me wondering how he's doing. It would have been nice to send him off and thank him properly. The way that he signed off feels a bit like when Michael Scott leaves the Office and doesn't plan to tell anyone that he's moving.
I was matched in a game with him about 6 months ago. I was excited to play a streamer for the first time, then he conceded right when the game started.
So many great memories of falling asleep to firebat vids, particularly when he played that wack priest deck that would shuffle the opponents deck into his, I miss him dearly
we love you firebat you were a big part of my life for a long time even when i got sick of playing hearthstone i still watched your videos everyday glad to hear youre doing good
Totally agree. Great video I used to watch firebat everyday. I quit HS around the time he got relegated from grandmasters didn'tlike the expansion and havnt played it since. I thought I would check his UA-cam and that was it gone. I just wanted to thank firebat as well for a good few years of awesome content for me. He was on everyday at my work and Im glad he's doing well.
I was super motivated to play Hearthstone but seeing someone from Michigan win worlds motivated me more. His post Worlds stream was so hype!!! I loved watching his channel, he was just genuinely nice to viewers and you can tell he loved playing and teaching others the game. Thank you Firebat for your years of contribution to the scene and I am happy to hear you are doing well!
From what I heard too, his parents didn’t support him going pro. He went to the 2014 World Championships with hope and confidence in himself and he proved all the doubters wrong. I thank him for the years of content and wish him the best, wherever he is now ❤
What a guy. I really loved watching his streams - not because he was amazing at strategy games which he totally was - but because of who he is as a guy. Really hope the next chapter in his life is a banger.
Played a match against him and won way back when. Saw his gamer tag and I couldn't believe it was him! I added him and we chatted for a bit. Dude thanked me for giving him a good match. Take care man.
He was an awesome commentator during the pavel era. he gave the viewership this feeling of being in the know of the skill level of the meta and even the social aspects between the competitors. competitive hearthstone isnt remember the way it is without firebat.
Rarran its such an amazing content creator, he not only looks to give us great HS content, but great content in general, been it collabs with other CC or this informational stuff. Its hard not to follow a person who constantly try to be better in what he likes to do, and it is sad how hard it is since HS active looks for ways to kills to game. Hope you have a good and happy new year man, im sure 2022 will be better and know that there is a community backing you up.
Was wondering what happened. He vanished off my feed, and I thought it was just the algorithm because I had not watched as much HS content in a while. He still plays. I ran into him while I was making a Legend push last month. I was actually super excited to have played him and to have beaten him. Then I went checking his channel to see if the game would make it on UA-cam so I could watch it from his end and get indirect feedback. I was sad to see he had not uploaded anything in a while. I'll miss him.
Firebat was one of the greats. He was charasmatic and played brilliantly. Its hard to see hum leave but important to respect his choices. He will be missed but not forgotten.
Thanks for the video. The only guys I followed were Firebat, Zalae, Kibler, and Savjz. Kibler is the only one that still does constructed but I get the feeling that he doesn't love the game as much as he used to either.
Thanks Rarran. When I played HS, loved watching him play and brew. My question to you is, what happened to that CCG game he was going to create about..5 years ago. He even showed what the beta would look like…obviously fizzled but if you or any of your viewers know, it’d be interesting to hear…as I was really rooting for him
Thanks for the video! First time seeing your content and this was a instant subscribe worth work. And YES, I DO want to see that "how the game has changed from classic" -video!
Thank you for all the effort and information you put into this video, very well done. I miss Firebat a hell of a lot. Damn shame that he lost so much viewership, always enjoyed his content.
Forgot his quitting. COVID. Was cheering for him when he won. Still impressed he spotted win condition turns in advance. Wishing him all the best. Life finds the way.
I actually enjoyed and prefered when Firebat played other games, it was so fun to watch him relax a bit and learn something fun new with chat. He would just open any game and play it with us, it was really fun times during the pandemic. He was a really cool guy. He choose to die a hero, than live long enough to become the villain, I can respect that.
I think you found your niche buddy this was a really good video. I like the hearthstone player documentaries. Also love the other one you posted today. Keep it up bud.
I was there when Firebat won the championship, it actually solidified my love for HS, seeing how big some people can climb and get recognized! Also he had a dope ass name as well :D
Firebat was my first streamer, I learned how to play StS battlegrounds and TFT just by having his Vods playing in the background while I did other things, hope real life is treating him better than the esports/content creator life did. Feelsstrongman
I really hope you enjoyed the video, this took me so much time, so if you did end up enjoying this, I would really appreciate a like and share!
let me know who you want next!
yes i will love :)
I would like to see Amaz next! He's one of Hearthstone legends who inspires me as well as everyone else, and we need to remember him as much.
Great content, Rarran, as always. You look fantastic!
Definitely need more of these.
For someone like me those vids are great :) So yes, please, keep'em coming :) (though I can't say who I want to see next since I don't know the comunity well ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ )
@@ShiniOokami amaz or kolento would be nice

Dude this is awesome!
I have to say as well props to you Frodan for checking in on him and trying to keep him in the loop, you’re one of the good guys!
So good to know he's doing well!
Thank you Frodan for sharing this. :)
I was also thinking why I don't see Frodan as a host in HS anymore. Is he on hiatus? Temporary or did he left HS scene as well? Maybe a video about him would be nice after few more previous HS players.

The batcave team thing vibe was just right
You could tell he was just trying to have fun. That's its.
Exact same for me. I used to watch Hearthstone videos when I went to bed and Firebat was among the few I always watched.
I've really appreciated addressing him directly at the end to thank him. It can be real easy to forget before being personalities they are people.
The respect for Firebat, bad feelings about the gm system and how ETC is as a person considering that other types of people would be gloating at the thought of eliminating a world champion.
made me tear up a bit, he seemed genuinely sad :(
I miss Firebat, easily my favorite content creator HS has ever had
I miss the chill Firebat streams. He was one of the best and communicating nuances to the game and was a genuinely cool dude. Glad he's doing well and hope the best for him.

A game that I like watching old content and not playing it that much
You should try watching chump, dane, or mark. They make really cool decks. I think they're really entertaining.
Thank you Firebat for great times and thank you Rarran for the great content
Watching Firebat play got me interested in the game to begin with. Hope he's doing well and succeeds in all his endeavors.
You really nailed the pacing in these videos. Your voice naturally lends itself to narration of this kind of content.
Agreed. Rarran's voice is perfect for narrating
We miss ya, Firebat, but wish you the best in your other endeavors! Thanks for this, Rarran! I'd wondered why he'd gone quiet, but good to know he's doing well after moving on. An inspiration for many of us who still endure the insanity of Hearthstone.

Thank you for giving both Firebat and Reynad their flowers, those two got me into hearthstone and they are both so smart. skilled, and also kind
Definitely miss the chill streams with Firebat. I could honestly watch the guy do or play pretty much anything
Great Content, I'd love to see a " What happened to Kolento " video, I watched him since I started playing 7 years ago and he's just vanished :(
I wouldn't say Firebat just vanished though. If you watched his streams you would know he never wanted to stream for the rest of his life.
Thanks for the video. Firebat was one of the best at explaining how the game worked and how to make a good deck. I hope he’s well.
Loved the video, what a trip down memory lane for both the cards and the players. things have really changed
I used to watch Firebat videos every day in the days of Un'goro, KoFT and Kobolds and Catacombs. His content was just solid, no click-bait, no fake internet persona to generate followers. You’re an amazing journalist. These last two videos have been the most enjoyable to view by far.

His stream was always fantastic and deck doctor was fun and informative.
I played LTD2 with him a couple of months ago
Said he put his whole online presence on hold and he's just enjoying life at the moment
Very chill guy
He was one of my fav. players ;). Thanks for the good times. And you, thanks for this great series. its really enjoyable.

Sounds like a great idea!

Loving the documentary style content. 10/10 again.

good outro points. forgot about him, before this video popped up in my recommendations. firebat is a true OG in hearthstone, miss the old days in HS.
Love this content bro. Hearthstone history. Please do more. It can be about players, previous metas, etc
Hope you have a good and happy new year man, im sure 2022 will be better and know that there is a community backing you up.
really like those typ of videos and I enjoy watching them!
Great content keep up the good work! Firebat was so amazing, miss his deck doctor videos they were great.
Deck doctor was fun! Keep up the good work on these videos. You look fantastic
I hope he gets into VO; he’s got such a great voice for it! I do miss his twitch streams.
These vids are legit fantastic
Thanks for the video. The only guys I followed were Firebat, Zalae, Kibler, and Savjz. Kibler is the only one that still does constructed but I get the feeling that he doesn't love the game as much as he used to either.
you should totally do that vid on how hs has changed so much since classic.
LOVE these videos Rarran
Thanks Rarran. When I played HS, loved watching him play and brew. My question to you is, what happened to that CCG game he was going to create about..5 years ago. He even showed what the beta would look like…obviously fizzled but if you or any of your viewers know, it’d be interesting to hear…as I was really rooting for him
Thanks for the video! First time seeing your content and this was a instant subscribe worth work. And YES, I DO want to see that "how the game has changed from classic" -video!
WOW, this is/was GREAT content creation!!!
Maybe the best i have ever seen from you sir!
God, I watched Firebat every morning. I don't even remember when it stopped, I'd forgotten.
Miss him, and hope he is enjoying life.
I'm liking your commentary videos! Keep them up.
Firebat has been grinding legion td 2 like a mad man glad he found a game he can have fun with not worrying about streaming.
Great video man, I really like how you but this together.
Thank you for all the effort and information you put into this video, very well done. I miss Firebat a hell of a lot. Damn shame that he lost so much viewership, always enjoyed his content.
I met Firebat in person at my local fireside gathering. He’s a very chill dude.
When I saw that Firebat clip of him saying see you tomorrow and ending his stream, I couldn't help but think of Reckful's last stream.
I was wondering what happened to Firebat. Cool vid. Hope the algorithm pushes it.
Very cool video. I miss the old Classic days
LOVE this video! Thank you R.
This docuseries is GOATed, you look fantastic btw
Dude these vids are fire! Keep it up!
Thank you for this video and thank you Firebat. All the best
I think you found your niche buddy this was a really good video. I like the hearthstone player documentaries. Also love the other one you posted today. Keep it up bud.
I miss Firebat. I miss Firecat too. Happy to hear they're doing well.
Loved firebat content, very sad when he disappeared, but I figured he'd probably be happier for it! Glad to know for sure he's out there doing well!
Firebat was my favorite streamer and I’m happy to hear he’s found a new journey for himself.
Friebat, we miss you dude. Hope life treats you the best.
Nice series preping us for the end of HS
Love this vídeo man keep it up!!!! Greetings from Perú
Again, great video. Thanks Rarran
As I was watching the video on Toast I thought “you should do one on Firebat.” Great video
