at first live watch, i thought McCord was bad. After rewatching, he actually wasnt that bad. Pretty decent actually. Once the line starts playing better and he gets the timing down with WR's, i think we will be fine.

Ohio state won. I'm happy. I really think McCord decent. He good he can throw. He made alot of good passes.

I said the same thing and everyone laughed at me. He was calm in the pocket, ran well when he had to, threw some accurate bullets, and his worst throws weren't his fault like having to throw on 4th down when his #1 receiver fell down.

We all know our offense isn't scoring 44 ppg this year, so our defense will have to win a couple games and they looked good. I don't remember any pi penalties and no long plays for td's, I see an improvement but, only first game. GO BUCKS!
The offense will get rolling. Gonna take a couple weeks with all those new pieces. We did have a couple stupid penalties on defense but we were being aggressive. Get that in check and the defense will be golden. Wanna see a bit more pressure on the qb from the defensive line.
The one good thing about this is that everyone has now written them off and Ohio State plays better when there's no expectation. aka When they lost early to Virginia Tech, then squeaked into the playoffs and everyone said they didn't belong against Alabama and Oregon.
Indiana was #111 last season and have gotten worse, they'll be lucky to win 5 games.
But that was when they dominated the big 10 and michigan namely. Lose a game before michigan and it's all over.

Yall new fans don’t know what typically happens is that we start out the season like 2-1 or 3-1 bc we lose to some shitty school and then we kick it into overdrive the rest of the year bc we know another loss means it’s definitely over at that point t

The first game is always bumpy, especially since its in conference on the road, first time QB. It will be fine relaxx.
O-line needs to improve if we expect to contend this year. Hopeful Day can turn it around.

This team Saturday looks like the herbstreit teams in the late 80's early 90's. McCord is either really really really bad or the offensive line is putrid. Thinking maybe a combo of both. Gonna be a long a** season.
Harrison didn’t do much in this game either
O line didn't give mccord much time, probably why ryan day abandoned the best WR in the country saturday. How sad, he had all season to get the o line in shape and toughened up, big fail. This is all on ryan day.
McCord is a$$ and the OL has had some really bad coaching missing blocks and blitz pickups a HS OL would easily catch. This team will lose MINIMUM 3 games with McCord as QB. Sad they will waste all that talent at the skill positions because no one can get them the ball.
In short, OSU has a QB issue. Will they have a solution to teams sending an 7 defender run blitze in their face-down after down???

People keep saying "oh its the first game. Win is a win." Yeah, well it was the first game for a lot of the elite teams and they blew their opponents out. Buckeyes lose 4 games this year.

how many top teams started the season with a conference opponent? georgia played ut martin (fcs), michigan played east carolina butt pirates, alabama played middle tennessee state. ohio state played another big ten team. that matters. lsu and florida state played each other, so respect to them. of the top 10 teams, only ohio state and clemson played a conference opponent, ohio state won, clemson lost.

I don't know what's going on with Ohio State but they look awful. They struggle to beat Indiana. I can't remember the last time I've seen them struggle to beat a team. They should have blown them out by 40 points

I’ve been watching the buckeyes for 20 years and I can remember many times they struggled to beat a team they should have beat handily. Happens to everyone.
It’s the first game of the season, on the road, conference game, and they won by basically 3 touchdowns! Defense looked great, o line needs work. The roster is still loaded with talent. Quit being dramatic
