It is a pity you were tired because you could have gone still a bit more on the same route south to stay at the camps in the Khowarib Schluct....very nice. I see you will pass Palmwag lodge the next day....what a nice place to stay over for a few nights..nice bar and pool.. :-).

So in 2010 I did a 4 week trip around Namibia with my family and 2 other families. we pre-booked all the campsites and Ongongo was one of them that we had to pay for upfront on booking and was the most expensive. We thought the price was high because of the hot spring. When we arrived there we were so disappointed in the condition of the campsite and facilities for the money we had paid that we moved on even though we had paid. We felt completely ripped off. It was by far the worst of some 20 camp sites we went to. I see 11 years later they are still so greedy.
Another very interesting video , thx !! Geez, the Ongongo camping rate is just crazy !! Btw Fort Sesfontein was built by the Germans in 1896 and abondoned in 1915.

Congratulations! I owned a couple of the 2014/2016 F700GS / F800GS models. I regrets selling them. Playful bikes, trusted. If you ever buy a larger capacity bike, you’ll discover that they don’t actually deliver more smiles. Your bike is perfect. (You know that !😀) (I’d argue the new Chinese built replacements are inferior from a quality / reliability pov)
