You can put floor under the mono platform to walk on. As long as it is at the lava surface they will take damage and die anyway. My farm is fairly similar to yours but boxed in with a floor at lava level. They reproduce and fall to the floor and run around the box for a few seconds until they die. Then I can easily run around the box collecting everything and taking minimal damage. Don't know how well it would work with green mono as they would heal each other, but it works fine with blue.
I put two sprinklers and Red Monos on the field where the Griffen appears in the yellow island. Griffin walks into a pile of red monos and one arrow knocks down the Griffin by over 2/3s when the Reds blow up.
Very good way of getting the heated metal. Very successful the first time. I left the island for a day. When I came back, all was intact. It did seem that the sprinklers were not spraying near as often and my monos would not reproduce as often. I was continually having to throw my pet to the platform. Do you need to replace the sprinklers each time you come back?
I tried this with green, blue , red and purple monos , blue drop enchants more often than green. Red drop red herbs and minerals, purple drops minerals and poison mushrooms

Couldn't you build like a drop chute near the island where tge lava is shallower and have a chest with absorber at the bottom that's getting constantly healed by the monos dying?
im sure you could probably build it more technical and get that working for sure, but with the new changes coming soon its probably easier to do it this way for now as we can automate it easily soon
@@Caztecx My monos will duplicate for a while and then slow down and somtimes just stop duping, I add a new mono and sometimes it will start up again and sometimes the capsule will just go away and no mono jumps to life. Its like some kind of limit kicks in, sometimes not.
Thats very odd, that shouldn't be doing that, usually even wooden floors should set on fire and not just vanish, stone floors should do neither though, I would suggest trying a different world if this continues as it could be your world bugged
it's a semi-rare drop from mono. I haven't tested very thoroughly, but I believe higher level mono, maybe level 50 and up, have a higher chance of dropping, while level 1 has barely any chance at all.

Awesome guide. Another tip for magic users, if you pop magic shield you can swim in lava like it's water :)

Do you have an update now for the heated mineral farm? Do you really have to use mono pets?

does the high speed conveyer belt burn in lava? if not we can just bring loot onto island
After the winter update highspeed conveyers and storage containers dont burn in hell.... the farm can be made WAY better and im working on it 😊

They do indeed... any island, any mono...be careful, if they're not being automatically killed you can end up with rather alot of monos to clean up 🤣

Hey, it wont let me build in hell? Im usng stone slopes. what am i missing? I place the floor and it just disapears...and is uses the floor..HELP :)

Could you put an absorber to pick the stuff up?
No unfortunately they set on fire due to being in hell, same with most builds currently
I tested with steel chest, absorver and belts, and only the chest survived
