Hey Clint! Thanks for this series, it was really helpful! I have a question, and I am sorry to waste your time, somehow. I was painting some MtG fanart lately, and tried to include some Bismuth, like found on Zendikar. Bismuth is a very colourful metal, and I miserably failed to understand how the reflectivity works. Or in general: How does colored metal reflect the surroundings? A car with a metallic look, a christmas bulb etc.? I just cannot figure out which hues get reflected in which way.
great tutorial but i still need to work on my drawing skills. I came here wanting to shine the armour, but if my designs cant be up to that standard i need to step up.
I don't have "special" brushes and "special brushes" don't keep people from creating amazing art. Good understanding of design, color, values, composition, and the rest of the fundamentals make good art. I've painted many professional images with default round brushes.
I like how this man gets straight to the point instead of talking for 80 percent of the video.
I paited these along with you and they were all a lot of fun. I want to try to render a black armor now
this looks like some warframe armour :D

I was asking the same questions too when my client asks me to draw a power ranger armored suit
@@RGMRT I'm very late but Scott Robertson's how to render book explains in quite autistic detail how reflections work

@@nathangriffiths2851 yeah hoped I could have had acces to em, they looked amazing!
hard round and a soft round with pressure opacity should be good enough. he's just using layer modes to get the job done
You should really put links to part 1 and 2 in your descriptions. I'm going to get dragged down a rabbit hole looking for them.
great vids, all three of them :D whats the music score in the background of this (3rd) video?
Wow man, thanks for the three videos, I was really looking for something like that, it was great!
Thanks for the watch!
@Swatches what kind of brush you used? I am an amateur and love your tutorials
Don't think I used any fancy brushes, everything I did can be done with the regular hard-edge round brush and soft-edged brush.
jo man do you have special brushes u want to share otherwise it isnt really a how to if we dont have the right brushes
