Ian Schueller Zak lost his balance and the contact was unintentional. It was reviewed extensively by the officials and the placing stood. Also, Alex was pushed through that turn by Kevin to be there. I know how you feel, though; I was shocked at first to watch what looked to be an intentional shoulder. "Everyone is in an uproar about this angle of the final few feet of the finals. I couldn't even see Alex. You can see where I lost my balance and turned much more than I intended to and we made contact. Maybe more people should post the angle that shows Kevin pushing him through the turn and giving him the speed to be there at all. This was reviewed extensively by the officials and they made their decision based on TONS of footage. I'm sure we have not seen the last of Alex and I look forward to many re-matches in the future." - Zak Maytum
Austin Arthur Ya dude we can all hear the footage of zak talking! A push and a check are way different. And I doubt kevin was trying to push him into first.
Ian Schueller I watched it in slow motion. zak never looked over at alex so he couldn't have known he was there. I'm like almost positive that you can't see stuff out of the corner of your eye when you have a big full face on. but what ever you obviously know more then the race officials do.
Joseph Dosher when you lose balance. Normally your hands would go up, there would be some wobbles, etc. But that didnt happen. You can see alex's arms go flailing and zak remaining in tuck. This is just the classical 'big dog, under dog' case. Where someone with status thinks they can bend the rules always in their favor. Its why Zak was so defensive about what he did. Everyone was thinking it was intentional too, but keep on going fanboy!
This video is a inspiration to make more videos like this. I tried to make a longboard montage and the result is ok for my first try. Problaly you can watch it and say how i can make my videos better or subscripe my channel. :)

Guys, Washington isn't usually that hazy, there is just huge fires that are making washington all smokey :(
In my opinion, this looked like it got a bit to heated for it to be fun (pun intended)

That was dirty as fuck. Give them each a pair of gloves to Duke it out. No need to put others in danger and ruin the beauty of the sport.
