What a beautiful story but the same time loosing her best friend to suicid is heartbreaking. I don’t know how she’s able to move on it’s tough it impacts your life. But I’m so happy she carry her name and won’t let Katie be forgotten.

Naomi is the embodiment of the American dream. You can’t get more American than this. She is also so grateful for all the opportunities she’s received, and is such a hard worker. Calling her out for not singing the national anthem just seems so trivial and meaningless compared to what she is representing and advocating for in her American community.
Yet still people love to single her out for not singing because she’s African American and daughter of immigrants. You can respect, be grateful for, and give back to your country in many different ways.
