I should probably ask this somewhere else but …33.3♾” scale and a bar of alloy like brass or something in the body at the bridge for strings through body option ?
What tuning was this bass in?
Dan Lane standard tuning B to C
They sound great, I just can't get into the 'gamba' body treatment.
That's a great looking and sounding bass. I'd prefer it without the inlays. I think it would look a bit more classy and more "violin" like.
I do get where you are coming from but I think they both directions is very classy :-)

Any compression on this?
There is a very soft comp on just to break through a bit better but it's very subtle,why? :-)
Because I've fallen in love with this bass (without ever playing it...), thought it sounded like there was some compression, and wanted to know if that was only the bass sound coming though or if it was augmented in some way, but I understand why you used a little. As soon as I can afford this beauty, it will be mine lol

@@BassBuddha Since you are on the topic, do you mind saying which specific compressor it is? BTW I am the lucky owner of that first 5-string Contra that you reviewed last year. The same as you, I could play the bass for days without food and water. :-)
@@JohnFoxBass Yes how lucky you are :-D well it's the standard compressor in Logic but if you are looking comp in a pedal form I would recommend the Hyper luminal from Darkglass because it's transparent and really nice

I think Marleaux could design a better look headstock. I like this contra 6 and the consat signature 6 but because the headstock design I never buy any.
Whattt? It's a beautiful snakehead. Just look at how the strings go straight back to the tuners; no bends to bind up the strings in the nut.

yeah no matter what 10K is a lot of money but this bass is worth every penny :-)
