Very nice videos!.. My parents bring me a small ney from Lebanon and I didn´t know anything about it, but these videos help me a lot!.. Thank you for sharing them and taking the time to explain how to play it step by step!.... I want to know if you could make a video tutorial explaining how to read partitures and share some of them, for example, that beautiful song of Om Kalthoum! I tried to copy your moves but you go to fast hahaha!..

Sorry by different repertoires i guess i meant different styles, for example differences in turkish music for ney and Egyptian music for ney. and for flute systems i meant is the fingering the same or similiar to the kawala or shibbabeh?

Hi Niri, thank you for the beautiful video! I want to ask you something regarding the construction of the plastic ney because i also make wind instruments and would love to make ney as well. Is the tube all straight inside or does it have an indentation close to the mouthpiece? I know that for the reed ney, the first node (from the mouthpiece) is only partially open, so i was wondering if you do something similar with the plastic ones. Thank you!
what if I have really small hands? I can't play a low whistle if that says for how small my hands are.
