What an great way to honour your Grandad. Too many senior folk are treated as a bother rather than a priceless library of experience and guidance. Thanks for sharing him with us.
i'm not crying, your crying. what a gent (both of them) a wonderful eulegy. And ironically spread across the world, far further than most will ... peace to you all.
"You'll never get a woman without a flushing toilet", what a great old character he was. Glad we got a chance to meet him, you gave him and his wife a fitting send-off.
Only just found your channel and watched this not having ever seen your videos with your grandad in and I’m in tears. What a lovely tribute. He seems like one of those amazing one-in-a-million grandads. I had one like that. They are so precious and are loved so much. 😊
Thanks for letting us all share your granddad he was very entertaining to many of us here on UA-cam, sorry for your loss but he’s at peace now and with his beloved wife who he devoted his life too, thanks markUK
So sorry for your loss Max. What a wonderful chap Grandad was, wonderfully entertaining and delightful to watch on screen. There was a beautiful bond between both of you that shone so clearly on screen. I know this community will deeply miss him. A very fitting tribute from you which I am sure Grandad will be watching from above xx
Max, I can't believe he was 95, . I'm very sorry for your loss. He came across as a lovely gentleman with a curiosity and knowledge that was infectious. Best of luck to you and your family. I am currently trying to look after my 79 year old mother . Look after yourself.
My deepest condolences Max. It was a genuine pleasure for you to share your grandad with us, and he was obviously incredibly proud of all you'd accomplished. I hope you and your family are okay.
My Nan has vascular dementia and my mum looked after her 24/7 for 6 years. Caring for someone day and night for years takes real love and determination. Your grandad managing for 13 years is a massive testament to his resilience, his love for your gran and his spirit! An incredibly touching tribute to him. He would be proud!
He undoubtedly enjoyed the appearances in the garden videos, it really showed, I’m pleased to find out the loyalty of the man and his selfless devotion to his family, but also he obviously held onto a sense of humour, your family was fortunate to have him, but he was also lucky to have such a lovely family around him
i dont usually comment on videos, but i feel i should on this one. i really enjoy your content what ever your doing. im glad you got to spend some time with him in his later years and create some fantastic memories with him, and that you recorded it so you and the family have the memories forever. keep up on what you do. im sure he will be watching down on you.
RIP Grandad. I loved the videos where he made an appearance. You both seemed very proud of each other, in that quiet unspoken British way.. Sending you our best wishes RHR
That was a lovely eulogy. My grandad also passed away this year and it's been a big adjustment. Lived a long and good life and reminded me a lot of yours. Proper grafters!
Not going to lie, I had a lump in my throat, and dust in my eye watching that. ❤ Please accept my deepest condolences Max, it was great seeing your grandad on your channel, he reminded me of both my Papa's.
Sincere Condolences Max, to You and Your Family. Had to work up to watching this, that might seem a bit daft that, but Grandads authenticity and character came through on the videos, and it was always great to see what you both got up to together. Rest in peace Grandad.
As one of your Aussie subscribers I can say that Grandad would have been a great 10 Pound Pom as we called them. I always loved the episodes with Grandad, he made me laugh out loud!
The World needs a few more Grandad's, dauntless but humble. He was a breath of fresh air helping you and we all enjoyed what he brought to your videos. Society is too keen to write off older people as a burden, but when given a chance to make a contribution they have so much to offer. Farewell Sir, Rest in Peace.
It was an absolute pleasure to have spent time with him and you through your videos! As you say a remarkable man!! Greatly missed by all of you and us! And what are marvellous send off! Our thoughts are with you all! ❤
Fantastic send off for an amazing man loved watching Grandad he was as sharp as a tack also sorry for your loss we went through loss twice last year 6 months apart and it does get a little easier eventually. R. I. P Grandad.
Greetings from North Yorkshire. The moors are a special place to visit when you want to clear away negative thoughts and be close to pure nature. Few of us will have such a tribute paid and this is much better than the funeral ritual. A very moving tribute to your grandparents and grandad is immortalised on video. We should appreciate our elders while they are alive, and you did. Enjoy the moors, which are close to where I live and frequently visited. Thanks for another valuable video. .
So sorry to hear about your granddad passing, he seemed like a lovely person from what we saw on your videos, and such a nice place for him to be left, I never really knew my granddad, he passed when I was about 5 years old, and what little time I remember of him, he was someone I wish I could have grown up with...
Im not crying....Wow,so many buried memories of my own grandad flooding back,Thankyou Max,for sharing your Grandad with us all, every one of us is going to miss him.
What a beautiful video and equally beautiful words. Thank you for telling us about your Grandads life. He reminds me very much of my grandad, a true gentle man whos only way of being was to be good to those he loved. ❤
Great to see him on your channel. He lives on in you. Be happy for the all the good times you spent together. Will still be missed though. Thoughts are with you n your family.
What a fantastic video for a fantastic man. I never knew either of my granddads, they both died before I was born, one grandma died when I was 2, the other when I was just about 7. My father's dad was a real character apparently. In the 1930's he used to sell matches and trinkets from a tray pretending he was blind. He , for reasons known to himself, whenever a certain set of relatives whom he disliked came round to visit, he would hang a kipper in the front window. And he proudly nurtured a talent of being able to fart on every stair ! I like to think of him as a man with a bohemian flair.
I'm really very sorry to hear that your granddad has passed away Max, he seemed a charismatic and youthful chap and it was always a bonus to see him make a guest appearance in a Kermit video.
So sorry for your loss. I loved watching you and your granddad interact in your videos. Praying you have a good celebration of his life. All the best. Marc from Australia 🇦🇺
Thanks for posting Max. Brought tears to my eyes. Loved the respect you showed him. He will be missed yes, but remembered by thousands of us. All the best. Tony
Bless you Max - you are a credit to him. You also represent what we largely miss in this Country and World - folk who take responsibility for themselves and their families. If the large % of the population insist on depending on the Government to sort out problems - we are doomed! Take care
Watching you scatter your grandads ashes made me quite emotional, bringing me back to scattering the ashes of both my paternal grandparents. What a beautiful resting place for both your nan and grandad.
Sorry for your loss Max. I really enjoyed the video's you made with your Grandad. He seemed such a gentleman the likes of which only came from times long gone. R.i.p grandad.
What a wonderful tribute to your grandad and granmum. I always reflected that it was so wonderful that you were able to spend the time together you did making those videos. Pure joy! RIP grandad.
Thank you for sharing that Max. May they both rest in peace, together again, in beautiful countryside. I think it is a place you will return to again in the future and tell him what you’ve been up to.
Truly beautiful video.....what a wonderful Gentleman who obviously faced and coped with all life threw at him, whilst displaying his charming demeanour. He is most CERTAINLY not gone....he will be be positively beaming at you every time you look in the mirror and radiating from within your very being in all you laugh at, do, say, think and accomplish, ad infinitum! God Bless.
