It's a shame how the first album gets overlooked. It's acoustic depression fine-tuned to perfection. The fact that Ryan struggled during its making really shows and adds so much character to every song in it.

It's funny, because I'm an unshaved, beanie-wearing smoker in his mid30s with eye-bags, and a big fan of Low Roar. Also I'm not superinvested into memeculture. So finding out about all this doomer-meme was somehow a punch in the guts and at the same time enlighting too.
