as I understand it, it's mostly the fact that situations in which SWAT gets involved are so volatile theres no sure way to know who's an active threat and who isn't
i think in real life officers split up to take civilians out immediately after they handcuff them, as well

Do enemies in this game have any AI? I mean they totally can hear the gunshots and stand there like nothing's happening. On 2:36 they even say "Cops" and then do literally nothing about it even though the light from the flashlight can be seen and they are supposed to be aware of the direction where previous gunshots came from. And at 2:39 one thug goes down while another one is in the same very room and still doesn't react anyhow properly.
The AI in this game is bad. If the suspect sees you, they know where you are and if they even see a pixel of your character model, they will land accurate shots on you even through walls where they can't actually see you. Suspects being blind and deaf is 50/50, sometimes, even your own footsteps is enough to alert them of your presence and in others, even having a flashbang going off in the same building as them won't trigger a reaction.
Getting domed by meth heads and gangbangers after they make a 360 turn is a pretty normal occurrence in the game and is a giant meme in itself. Whats even funnier is low-level thugs fight like they're terrorists/religious fanatics. They don't surrender and they'd rather fight to the death for $200 which makes no damn sense. I think this has more to do with YTers and players promoting the game as hardcore milsim rather than an actual SWAT game.
It’s worth nothing that this is pre-1.0 and I believe they redid AI in the new update; still wonky at times for sure but not quite as bad
The Game Has Only EVIL NPCs who Rarely Surrender if that is even happening without mods the AI is not good or Realistic like you Hear Footsteps or Hunker down as NPCs @@shellshockedgerman3947 it is now just seek and destroy and works mostly on Reflexes
@@DestroyedAngelthey just re did the AI again after 1.0 so it’s been fixed already. But now I can say I’m kinda breezing through the game.
@Dastardly1 yeah they should add more randomness and events. Remove "bring order to chaos" to make you tweaking about, like does you really clear the building? Make enemies furniture to hide behind(while combat not just spawn somewhere and crouch)? Or even make them runaway when they see many swat guys and dont shooting in full height, maybe even make them run in any direction after flashbang or shooting due desorientation. Imagine guy running in the door after hearing a grenade drop and being blown up by his own trap, horrific.
And this thing will be cool at the game because devs can adjust them in different missions: We have vets in the hotel whose are more advanced than teens from gas station, and private securities in mansion.

I can't even explain how real the AI feel once they're under control, the Cuffing and new "Turn around, slowly" commands work like a charm in tight quarters too.
Pretty sure the voices are taken straight from the game SWAT 4, now that was a stone cold classic.

What I miss from this game are missions where there is actually only a single suspect. You get any kind of mission here and you stumble across a drug cartel operation with 20 armed gunmen or something. I want the suspense and thrill of a single suspect and making sure you only discharge on the correct person.

Fail. did not secure first suspects weapon and the old man used the tube of PreparationH in his pocket to lube up and escape the zip cuffs recovered the dropped weapon and killed my housekeeper.
Until the AI gets better in a game like this, I won't be buying it
The AI here seemed way easier than they normally are.
Normally they are very dynamic, will come up behind you from rooms you've already cleared because they'll move around and roam,
and in some scenarios, they are pracitcally cheating with how accurate they are, while in other scenarios they are tought but more fair, and some where they're trash shots, depends on who you're busting.
