- America's top heavyweight, Jared Anderson (16-0, 15 KOs) keeps it real about his recent legal troubles and love for Boxing ahead of his April 13th assignment on ESPN in Corpus Christi, Texas, against Ryad Merhy (32-2, 26 KOs).
Interview by Sean Zittel. - Спорт
Only 24 talking about retirement these new heavyweights sum else bro🤦🏽♂️
😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂
Did he really just say he might "fight lower opposition and rely more on his ring walks?"😂 No chance of becoming a legit hw champ with that attitude!
He is going through personal problems in his REAL LIFE.
Legal & financially 💰
Did you not listen to the first 2-minutes of the video. He broke down everything
You can’t cheat boxing 🥊.
your 🧠 needs to fully committed to it or you NEVER going to become successful & badly hurt along the way especially in heavyweight division.
In anything in life, you need to be fully focused to be successful .
Anything outside of that, you will fail
It’s like this… you being the best worker at your job and the powers that be want to make you a part of what was but what was is not your lane & u can’t function that way.
They want you to dance jump and sing , for there pockets..
You are a forklift driver but your job wants you to clean bathrooms because you are good at forklift driving, how will you feel ??
U love ur job but how they are trying to portray you is bothering you.
What will you do ?
This guys a diva.
I respect Jared’s talent and ability but I don’t believe that he loves the sport enough to reach the top level of it.
He’s too busy thuggin , good riddance waist of money for TopRank
@@oqk1014u j sayin that cause he black tbh.
He's said that regularly himself. He's un it for the money
@@owenglaus2609he literally said that himself multiple time he only fights for money but so did a lot of the greats
@@oqk1014 You're right. They should put him in with someone better (e.g., Jalolov) and then make him their guy going forward.
The training and camp life is what he don't love no more, only few are built to train hard like that and enjoy it.
Agree
You’re right
He better go to Omaha and get fuq away from J Prince. Becoming Shakur down in Houston with the non motivation. Bud will have you active and loving it lil kid!!!
@@williamdavis8855This!
I agree 100 percent
Stress is not having the opportunities he’s got connections to , stress is having a normal job and a boss . He doesn’t know what stress is ,he’s created stress for himself . People with actual stress don’t have time to drive fast cars get into trouble . These guys today are in fact big babies ,man up don’t waste fans times they are the hard workers not the athletes that are the product to come see them box . Smh
Agree
I disagree he gets punched 👊 in the face by heavyweights...that is the most stressful situation you can put yourself in....but balance is key 🔑 and I think 🤔 if he get the opportunity to make a big check and cash out then that would be good hopefully he gets that 1mill payday and can retire in peace
@@AliPointVTVIf you're a HW it's not as bad as other weights imo.
You can make it up the HW ladder fast these days if you're above average.
@scribble3478 he almost got koed in his last fight....heavyweight has more ko punchers than any other weight... that's the reason it's amazing to see a smaller weight class fighter with power IE crawford... but yeah I think 🤔 he should fight the bigger fights and retire 🙏 Boxing can be unforgiving...also everyone aren't made to be great...all of the boxing greats left a piece of themselves in the ring, that era is gone minus Frazier vs Wardley but yeah
I guess he’s stressed because he does indeed have a boss
I miss the great American heavyweights, they’re so weak now..
Tell him he’s weak in person 😂😂
@@Johndoe-kw5zrit doesnt change the facts
@@JeffPenaify it does though, if he’s so weak it should be easy to tell him that in person
@@Johndoe-kw5zr hes weak in context of american heavyweight boxers, not weak in context of general population lol, its almost like athletes are judged by their peers

Great interview. You asked tough questions that a lotta people woulda been scared to ask.
Appreicate the honesty from Jared. Dont think he wouldve been as honest with anyone else.
He gave multiple interviews about this last year with different platforms lol.
A lot of boxers feel like this but Jared the only one thats gon keep it a buck
its like stop crying though...show some stoicism, no one care about these new divas its zesty
A fact. Shit is stressful. Alot of shit behind the scenes go on. Politics and all.
It's the job side of boxing Anderson doesn't like, not the boxing.
Naw it’s cause he’d rather run the streets with his broke ass homies and live a lifestyle that’s gonna put him in jail than actually getting to a bag through boxing.
Because boxing requires actual work. Getting locked up is easy.
He’s still got a childish mentality. Some men never develop their minds
Great interview Sean. Sad to see that he’s going through a lot in his personal life that you can see is weighing on him heavy. More money can lead to more problems sometimes… Hope he gets everything resolved because he seems like a good kid.
Man keep your head up bro. We all have fell short and lost touch with something. Stay optimistic and count your blessings. God bless you. See you Saturday bro!
He's been talking about pre retirement since 2022....
Young is 15, 16 , 18.. I understand but we have to stop this.
Facts.
25 is young too
25 is only young on a scale of life left to live, not on a scale of maturity and responsibility
Super genuine. Hope everything gets better.
Good to see you branch out on your own Sean. Great questions, great interview.
If Jared and Moses Itauma both win their next bouts, get these guys in the ring USA vs UK
JA well ahead if Itauma rn, FW wont risk that fight unless the both rise to the top and Itauma needs him
Alot of athletes feel that way. It doesn't mean you can't be successful in the sport. The greatest sprinter of all time Usain Bolt didn't love the sport. But he still dominated and became the best. two things can be true. This was good stuff sean!
That question involving his mom and his way of thinking was very important!
Yea Sean excited to see you branch off on your own I’ll be watching every video!!! 💪🏿💪🏿
Good luck on your new channel bro and this guy is something else 🤪
I think the pressure is getting to him...the pressure and fear. Getting to the top in every field comes down to how you handle pressure.
Go ahead and just quit fam. With that mindset ppl not gonna rock with you.
He be acting like a momma
@@moneymannn7959 hahaha. Mannn! To be real, you can tell when fathers aren’t in these kids lives. They act like this
His dad is apart of his team and camp
But some guys just can’t handle the pressure you know
@@playaxmade Ook fam. True shit
i seen shakur carrying his belt..shakur likes carrying peoples belts...
So talented. Interested to see how his career unfolds
Great interview
I appreciate Jared's honesty, Mikey Garcia never liked boxing either. Hell even Sugar Ray Robinson said he never liked it, is what it is 🤷♂
But all of those guys are established & fought tough opposition. This dude has fought garbage cans & talking like he’s done something in the sport. Demanding to much & acting like a diva is crazy.
@@jiggyv6139 I agree but it is what it is, he got talent but not desire
@@jiggyv6139You're literally just hearing what you want to hear. At what point did he talk about his "contribution to the sport"?
@@iplayCoDandBF bruh go outside and touch the grass. Responding to a comment a month later. On top of that you talkin bs. You have your opinion and I have mine.
great interview Sean
Jared is a nice guy. I hope he sorts out what he needs to sort out and get on with the rest of his life
Congratulations on getting your own podcast Sean! You da man!
man sean u killed it brother
I get how he feeling some ppl will never know how it feel to be doing something you’re truly not passionate about it . Finding your passion is more important than any amount of money . If he don’t love it he don’t love it Atleast he honest about doing it because he have too
Sean. Since you left FH, is this gonna be home for your upcoming content? Thankfully the algos recommended this vid or I would have never found the channel
Jared, good man. Thank you.
Good questions
A lot wisdom coming from this brother P Daddy did say this one thing that I like the more money you come across the more problems you see but good luck to his brother and his fight 🥊
He made a lot of sense. Tank has been a intermediate champ. He hasn’t fought for an actual world title since Pedraza. He’s a champ now but he’s an email champ he didn’t fight for it. Devin vacated.
He’s really gonna sacrifice a lucrative career as a pro athlete so he can be in the streets
Tale as old as time
That question when you mentioned Jared mother being a psychologist was deep! Maybe he is ment for something greater more intellectual. W.e he decides to do its his life & as a fan of boxing i appreciate the contribution to this warrior sport. Great question sean!
Good video.
Man I wish the best for that brother ✌️
He seems like he's got his head screwed on straight and is really focused about what he wants to do.
Bro has no idea how blessed he is
Thus man ain’t gone go too far. Heart not in it.he can be good but when he go yo against the top level it’s about who wants it more and he just told us he don’t want it that bad
This guys always saying some random stuff in his interviews about retiring. If he hates boxing so much retire now stop wasting the public’s time.
Nearly everyone is doing a job they don't like. Probably includes you. We all know the answer to that simple question you ask.
How is he wasting your time? He's been completely honest. Don't watch if that's how you feel, nobody will notice
Jared, you better not retire. Unless you like the idea of living in debt like the rest of us. 💸 Also, you are young enough to one day be called one of the most skilled heavyweight of all time. Unfortunately you won't know what that truly means until you've accomplished much more in the sport.
Do whatever that makes you happy.
❤ Very intelligent and Genuine! he not about to tell yall what yalll want to hear, thats what we call a real one people act like they made every perfect decision in their lives 🙄 let him live! like they say live & learn. M&M " what do I think about success, it sucs to much stress I guess i must've blew up quick" yall know the rest
Might retire without being champion 😢wow that’s a bad look with retirement on his mind at 24 without him doing anything in boxing
That beating from a washed Charles Martin really changed him. 💨💨💨
he seems unconfident that he can become champ...
Troubles.. translation = life
I hear you Jared. Not everyone should do what they love as a job. It's not that simple. Once responsibility and earning is added to fun, it takes away some of the motivation to do what you love. Chris Eubank always said boxing is a mugs game and he was a champion.
He don’t love boxing , you can tell there’s something else he wants to do but never chased it. You can tell it bothers him to get up and train if he don’t have a passion for it.
Sounds like he lack giving his money to people who didn’t work for it.
It’s sad and kinda scary that he said “life just don’t like me” and “I have a baby on the way now” in the same sentence!!! I hope Jared finds whatever he is looking for in life!!! Rs
If he doesn’t love fighting he shouldn’t do it. Won’t get back what you lose in the ring. Being in it half way is a sure way to fail.
Ive met sean 3 times im boxing fights ,always a stand up guy, great interview .
Did you leave fighthype?
🔥🔥
I tipped him as the next great, but he ain’t got a champions mindset yet. Very very negative. Ya need to come to the UK and sign with Matchroom or Queensbury’s.
He’s been one foot in and one foot out of the boxing ring for a while now. Any time the word ‘retirement’ is constantly coming out of your mouth in interviews, mentally, you’re already retired. Even though he won his last fight, I think that fight with Charles Martin really got to him. I think it did something to him mentally. Made him second guess himself. And you can’t have a weak mind or second guessing yourself in this sport. You can get hurt..bad! And as far as his legal problems go, he brought that on himself! I’m sorry but he’s in a better position than most and he’s throwing it away by going on high speed chases! 🤦🏾♂️ He was looked at as one of the next best heavyweights in boxing and he’s throwing it away. He’s living up to the name ‘Big Baby’ for sure because that’s exactly how he’s acting. I wish I could talk to him. Someone needs to tell him the truth instead of setting him on their laps and feeding him candy! 😂
Let’s do boxing math 🥊 🧮 Charles Martin in his prime got knocked out by AJ in 2 rounds, AJ got KO by Ruiz even though he was winning for most the fight just caught with a hook 🪝, Ruiz’s had lost to Parker who had Also lost to AJ who beat Klitschko who was beaten by Fury who had a war with Wilder who was devastated by Parker that outboxed zhang that put Joyce to sleep 😴
Then you have Jared Anderson who was almost stopped multiple times by a washed version of Charles Martin he realized that this division is full of killers
@@jacerivera7907 frfr
He has a family buddy, peanut gallery not needed
Will it take his eyes off his game against Bakole?
He know dam well he not retiring
Jared Anderson will become heavyweight champion of the world.💯🥊🎇🎆🧨🫡
Not with his current attitude and resume
yea right
He has the talent, and could be better, but lacks that deep motivation, in order to make it to that next step. I think if he suffers a lost, maybe another one, that'll be it for Jared. I just can't see him sticking around after that.
maybe he'll win one of the stupid titles
I love my work and am passionate about it, and Im really good at it. But the people I have to deal with are a complete nightmate.
This guy got a compliment from Tyson Fury saying hes the slickest person hes ever been in the ring with, what a waste of talent this guy with the right mindset could be top level
I feel like he cursing himself by saying this. I wouldn’t be surprised if GOD takes away boxing from him. Tongue is powerful. Hopefully it won’t be too tragic 🙏🏾
He's a good fighter but he lacks heart and the champion attitude. Some people are strong mentally and some are weak
"Jared didnt ask for this"
Jared is going to ride that horse
He has to get more serious about his skills, because Charles Martin former champ carried him, and could've stopped him.
We can't force people to be who/ what WE want them to be. This brother has to look at himself in the mirror everyday, he may pass by some of you and NEVER know who you are.
Big baby is good name for him
If boxing paid hourly starting at 20hr let’s be honest who still gone be in that ring regardless of how much they love it.
Jared ‘cry baby’ Anderson. What’s so frustrating is this guy is one of the most talented fighters in the division
In boxing you have to be 100% all in committed in training otherwise you're going to get hurt bad in the ring. He's young and has money in the bank, he wants to go out with friends and turn up, drink, smoke, chase girls. Its understandable.
Then he ends up having fights on UA-cam cause that lifestyle will quickly bankrupt you look a Mike Tyson in the early to mid 2000’s
Stop spotlighting all these unproven boxers. They aren't ready for the pressures associated with high-level fighting and all that comes with it. He's more concerned with walkouts and how cool he'll look. This generation is completely lost and soft af
He's concerned with creating a brand and generating revenue. Do yiu really think the beat athletes are always the best paid? Cause if so Conor McGregor is probably the pound for pound best fighter on the planet.
@@iplayCoDandBF Conor is a multiple weight world champion. There is no correlation. Talking means nothing is your aren't producing. Anderson has done nothing yet
Anderson need a custamato type character in his life . Allot of these guys do . Need to teach them morals and principles along with boxing not just boxing like most .
Anderson is soft hearted.
🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
And you are just soft
@@iplayCoDandBF Get out of your feelings for another man.
Definitely a big baby
They said he was the one that Burgalurized Ryans home and took off with his PS5
He’s far and away the best athlete in heavyweight boxing. When he gets the chance he will do big things. I just he stop with the retirement talk. He’s highly skilled and he can cement his legacy with a little focus.
why is he the best athlete in Boxing?
@@the-blue-barron2791 best athlete in the heavyweight division by a landslide he can do anything. He’s far from best in boxing. But he can do anything in there. Fights big or small can run all day and is sudden. Biggest flaws are maturity and pulling straight back.
Listen get ready for a new heavy to come into the fold and become heavy weight champ he is currently sitting at 6’0 and 235 pounds for heavyweight he is currently being trained with Mike Tyson style
I rock wit big baby, but i know he didnt just say hopefully he will make enough fighting bums, and his walkouts!! Mane we aint that interested in your walkouts fam... But i wish him nothing but success on lifes journey cuz he definitely got the skills
He's the meek mill of boxing
Dude this guy is ridiculous holy crap talk about ruining support. He's also gonna get knocked tf out. He's also someone who wants you to believe he doesnt care about anything but who knows what the truth is.
He’s talented and has all the tools to be champ - just something seems off…
I really don't want to see Jared leave the sport if thats actually how he's feeling.
Jared might have some problems with this shorter opponent. It's hard to shoot down. Hopefully it's a good fight
this is a squash match stop hyping it up. he is in there to get slaughtered and end up on Andersons highlight reel... I think the Charles Martin fight made him realize he will never be good enough for the top guys though
He didn't have a problem with George Arias.
@erelpc Arias wasn't a former champion but we'll see. I'm ridin with Anderson either way.
@@ceejayh1120 I don't know much about Ryad Merhy - was he a champion before even if it's one of those unknown belts? George Arias hasn't accomplished too much, but aside from Charles Martin, I think he was his most skilled opponent yet. He's pretty good.
I respect Jared for being honest, but I think his heart not being in it will come back and bite himmin the long run.
I saw a video of him crying to Roy Jones Jr
He really is the big baby..
You look like a young Ashton kutcher
Dude u buggin ll😂😂😂😂
LMAO, Top Rank need to dump this guy ASAP. He's a PR disaster and going nowhere.
With this mentality he will not become champion but I hope he does continue to box .once he stops he will lose fame hopefully Anderson is smart and is investing an multiplying his money .
When I was his age, I hated feeling like a mofo needed me. Imagine being good at something that others like, but you don't really like it. Us needing a champion is not something he wants to be a part of. He needs to find him... wherever he is.
Jared just trynna escape whatever contract he got or how evers handling him.
Comon big baby. Im from NZ and even i see if you dedicate yourself to boxing you will be the one carrying the flag for US heavy weight boxing! The brits are running away with it and laughing at you!. Lets Go 👊
I think Mike Tyson had this mindset at the peak of his career, but his handlers and pressure from the public wouldn't let him go through with it.
Boxing can be a very twisted sport.
I appreciate the journalism here, but who's going to pay to watch a character like Anderson. Boxing fans deserve professional fighters. Please dont refer to this guy as the best next anything from America. USA has better you tube boxers than the so called Pro Anderson. This guy Anderson is what we dont need in any sport.
He has no heart for the sport. I think he should probably go back to school while he's still young, and take a different career path.
It’s seems he’s making his own bed for these “Stressful” situations paying “people’s” rent other than his immediate loved ones shouldn’t be his responsibility, owning cars with expensive upkeeps that burden you should be gone and living in your means a necessity. I understand his financial “struggle” or his “broke” as he’s stated in a previous interview is not the everyday/average person struggle but he may not be as set up as the people around him and he may be trying to “keep up with the kardashians “ and that’s may be adding on as well.
bro got a silver vase in his house and still driving 10 mph over the speed limit.....shaking my goash darn head.
