Not sure the Pope song would go down too well on this channel, purely for the language used in it. Storm and Lullaby are fantastic suggestions. If you do watch a few Tim Minchin videos then please check out White Wine in the Sun. It's a more heartfelt song but just really beautiful.

And important: Darkside always the awesome version :) But I agree, the studio recording of Storm is so boring. Tim just belongs on stage. I really wonder how much say Tim had in the studio version. But the animation is well done. It just would need to be paired with a live performance :). Like the animation of the preface of "The Fence" which is also well done.

Yep, I was having breakfast (bacon sandwich, since you ask) when Jodie erupted with the realisation that the song is about a prejudice based on a word containing the letters G,G,R,E,I and N. Tim’s genius is to make his audience wake up to their own thought processes and pretty much everything he’s done is worth watching. I really enjoyed watching you both really enjoying this one. Tim is a brilliant talent. He is a composer, brilliant pianist, songwriter, poet and comedian. You will enjoy his 9 minute beat poem "Storm", his songs "Lullaby" and "White Wine In The Sun" He wrote the music and lyrics for the hit musical "Matilda"
Although I've watched some reactions where they didn't get the trick and hadn't put the letters together to make the N word, so it didn't hit as hard when the Twist came
It's cleverer than most realize. He literally uses our own prejudice to form an opinion on what he's singing about without any factual evidence. He says the name of the song and what it's about, then just provides the letters. The vast majority of us make the assumption what the letters will spell before he pulls the rug out.
Nice reaction to a musical genius. Subbed for more Tim Minchin. Please know, Tim is SO much more than a comedy musician. Brilliant lyricist, musical theater composer and stage performer. actor, TV show producer...the list goes on and on. His more recent songwriting has taken on a more serious tone as, in his own words, he has "retired" from musical comedy. But fortunately he has not retired from making great music; his lyrics are still brilliant, and often even more profound in my opinion His older material is fantastic and definitely worth checking out, but react to Beauty, The Aeroplane, Play It Safe or I'll Take Lonely Tonight to see his serious side.
For great comedy songs from him "3 Minute Song "is very underrated. For ones that pull at your heart strings "White Wine in the Sun" and "Not Perfect" are amazing.
