@@BassMatt1972 He is comparing himself to the world's best concert pianists who are technically very polished. He basically learnt by studying chords, noodling around a lot and improvising. He has more of a blues/jazz style and is extremely good at what he does. As a pianist I'd much rather be a hack like Tim and be able to improvise as well as he does then worry about being exceptionally polished. It looks a lot more fun and it has probably helped him fast track his creativity.

It's cleverer than most realize. He literally uses our own prejudice to form an opinion on what he's singing about without any factual evidence. He says the name of the song and what it's about, then just provides the letters. The vast majority of us make the assumption what the letters will spell before he pulls the rug out.

Nice reaction to a musical genius. Subbed for more Tim Minchin. Please know, Tim is SO much more than a comedy musician. Brilliant lyricist, musical theater composer and stage performer. actor, TV show producer...the list goes on and on. His more recent songwriting has taken on a more serious tone as, in his own words, he has "retired" from musical comedy. But fortunately he has not retired from making great music; his lyrics are still brilliant, and often even more profound in my opinion His older material is fantastic and definitely worth checking out, but react to Beauty, The Aeroplane, Play It Safe or I'll Take Lonely Tonight to see his serious side.

‘Thank You God’ is the song he made after a first-hand account of a genuine miracle made him see the error of his ways.

Like a clean version of John Cooper Clark’s, poem,‘ Some C**t Used The ‘N’ Word”. I would advise anyone to listen to it. Besmirched with swear words but as funny as hell. Great poetry.

Most people don't notice the arrangement change in genres, so you have to watch it several times to notice when and why he changes it.
Plays the hip hop to lull you into thinking a certain way, then brings in ginger, don't feel bad, it takes most of us a few seconds to click.
The other notable change he plays funk, talks about gingivitis which comes from a funky mouth.
Even when he says only a Ninja can sneak up, the mind almost hears the word that shall not be mentioned.
So many other word plays all the way through.
As for recommendations, watch them all, lol. None of them will disappoint.
But my favourites are Thank You God, The Pope Song, and the 3 Minute Song that he wrote for the Conan Show.
