Anthony Goldstone was a great pianist. He seems to have recorded a lot of Russian music - I love his interpretation of the Lyapunov Nocturne, for instance.
Very amazing! The style of Arensky is similar to Liszt, Grieg, Debussy,Chopin and Rachmaninoff, and then he composes these wonderful musical pieces. The last piece has the style of Rachmaninoff. The number 5 has the style of Grieg and Debussy and the third has the style of Debussy. The n.7,8,9 have the style of Chopin. The first ,at the beginning, was similar to the prelude of Prokofiev "Harp". The n.4 is very similar to the etude op 10 n 12 of Chopin "Ocean". The n. 6 has the Liszt 's style. But it is very similar to the Scherzo n 1 in B minor

😉 thanks
👍Very good! Good idea
I haven't heard these before, but these are some very welcome, lesser-known gems.
Another exquisite etudes!

Wow, an impressing set indeed. There's more to Arensky than I had thought. Thanks for the upload !
Wonderful recording of some gorgeous music
These pieces are awesome! So harmonically rich and pleasant to listen to, I'm going to pay attention more to this composer.

Arensky was the teacher of Rachmaninov😊
Wonderful! Thank you to all concerned.
Arensky was teacher of Sergei Rachmaninoff and Alexander Scriabin, I suggest listening to his op.36, here on UA-cam too
I'm strongly hoping you to upload more Arensky's solo piano works.
Good lord 2 is ravishingggg
Could you transcribe it for guitar? That would be awesome. Any of these would be great actually.
Excellent !
It makes me think of un sospiro by Liszt
Makes me so happy to see Arensky getting some attention. I love his solo piano romance! Is etude 5 supposed to be for right hand only?
Interesting. But .. In a race between Bortkiewicz and Arensky I think B would have the edge.
Love it it sounds extremely awesome 😍
same level deserving composer, as Rachmaninoff, Scriabin and many more.

8,
But... no more memes?
While memes might be gone for a longer period, that doesn't mean I'm not gonna stop dicking around with how I edit the vids sometimes.
