- At the Bonami Museum in Zwolle you will find the largest collection of game consoles and computers in the Netherlands. There are also a huge amount of games, collector items and merchandise products to admire.
Did you already know that you can not just look at the museum? A large part of both the old and new game consoles are playable. Up to 250 people can make use of it simultaneously.
And of course not to forget the impressive arcade hall, with a large collection of retro arcade cabinets, all freely playable for the public.
Museum visitors can also experience an unforgettable 3D experience with the Oculus Rift 3D glasses or the Sony PS4 Pro and PS VR headset. Even a working 3D printer is not missing in the collection.
The 3000m2 exhibition space offers us the opportunity to choose a spacious layout. This gives the visitor the space and freedom to fully enjoy the unique museum. - Ігри
I went to this museum last year with a friend. A great museum, insane amount of stuff and history to be seen. You can touch and feel almost everything (which is really generous because it's risky, people may break or even steal something), a lot of consoles and arcade cabs are up and running to be played for free, and the owner is very friendly. However, the location left a lot to be desired in my very humble opinion. It was too big and lacked any level of coziness it could certainly use. I mean gaming is normally done in the cozy and warm atmosphere of home. This looks a lot better, unfortunately for me though, a bit too far to visit again any time soon. I agree with you on the coziness level and it has become a bit better. Another thing they can or should change in the future are the museum exhibit display cases. I know it costs a lot of money and i understand that they would rather put the money into other items. But new display cases would push the museum to the next level IMO.

Hier moet ik weer eens een keer heen gaan. Ik ben al twee keer op oude locatie geweest. Het voordeel van de oude locatie was de bereikbaarheid met openbaar vervoer maar het nadeel was dat je moest traplopen (was niet zo geschikt voor rolstoelgebruikers). Ik denk dat de nieuwe locatie in dat opzicht een flinke verbetering is, het lijkt me ook groter dan oude locatie. Ik vraag me af hoe ze al die arcade kasten verhuisd hebben met die smalle trap omdat de twee grote liften buiten dienst gesteld zijn. Zo te zien is het gelegen aan de noordoost kant van Zwolle bij de A28 in de buurt.
Deze nieuwe locatie is voor mij / ons persoonlijk beter. Dichterbij en weg van het drukke centrum van Zwolle. De reistijd bedraagt voor mij nu net iets meer dan een uur. De nieuwe locatie is idd beter voor mensen met een handicap. Het is ook groter. Ze hebben nog niets eens alle ruimte volledig benut.
Looks pretty cool, esp. the sheer variety of Pong consoles! And even thou they moved, they kept the humble vibe with the storage shelves ;)
Comparing with Berlin, this looks more like a huge private collection. But the Arcade is awesome, way superior to Berlin. They only have half a dozen of cabs to offer.
Different style, different type of museum, I definitely need to check out BONAMI!

I hope to get my brown belt ( judo) this year. So i could do some security work if they asked me XD. BUT on a more serieus note. I wear a lot of suits outside the house in general. My wife is Italian. She teached me how to dress like a man ;-)

Ze verkopen wel wat games maar niet specifieke consoles. Ik zou marktplaats eens proberen. Misschien verkoopt iemand in de buurt een dreamcast.
Pfff moet er ook nog steeds naar toe. Maar erg ver weg helaas. Moet wel zeggen dat de manier van "displayen" in de stalages mij tegenvalt. Het oogt verder ook nog "niet af"
Het klopt dat het hier en daar nog niet af is MAAR daar moet je doorheen kijken. Ze zijn nog maar net sinds een paar dagen verhuist he ;-) Ik gaf het in een andere comment ook al aan. Ik ben het met je eens dat de display cases een upgrade kunnen gebruiken. Maar dat kost geld..veel geld dus ik snap wel dat ze liever investeren in andere games en arcade kasten.
