It’s not clickbait, if a person clicks on this video thinking he some how got a phone that was clearly announced to be released later in the year then maybe they don’t need to be watching this video. Plenty of channels do thumbnails like this TechTalkTV, TechDroider, Zollotech, etc. Basic common sense needs to be used on the viewers part.
@JaimeRiveraTech ohh I remember that one, it was so amazing, and yeah the gold color was the best one, a very unique shade and looked so premium. And the s6 edge had a sharper edge than s7 and subsequent phones, it had a much better feel than the others, but it was also more fragile due to this.
One thing I forgot to mention about the iPhone Air is that I think it’s just Apple prepping to offer a flip iPhone. That Air is just them trying to get it thin enough so when they make it a flip, it won’t be a mini brick in your pocket.
To me the S25 edge should champion the small phone category like 5.0 inches or even 4.9 it will be nice to have a phone that thin with smaller dimensions battery life should be better and easier maintained having a smaller size phone
i hope its not a playground for samsung to test out how the public would react to just two cameras but with crop in to simulate more cameras so they maybe can do this on their mainstream phones and save some bucks.
Not really sure what the point of a thinner phone is. It's the exact same experience but with a worse camera and worse battery. Nobody thinks their phone is too thick...
Samsung devices are retaining there value longer, so last years Ultra still cost the same as this year's Ultra. Idk how important bluetooth inside a pencil is for you but if you want your money's worth I recommend going for the S25 Ultra
@@Young_Dab for me, the Bluetooth s pen was one of the main reasons to buy the phone. If that function is not there for me and my money, no need to upgrade at least not to the 25 ultra
I'm so glad I don't live in the US with such a limited range of phones, all that American tech channels ever talk about is Apple, Samsung and the Pixel (with an occasional nod to OnePlus)
True! Even here in Europe, the phone providers in my country have basically iphones and samsungs to offer with one or other thing like a simple oppo or mid range xiaomi. I would like to try the pixel 9 but my local provider doesn’t propose that on his range of products and honestly I don’t want to buy the phone on full price without a carrier contract .
So it is absolutely the same form factor as any other current rectangle with rounded corner slab phone but its got one less camera lens and undoubtedly a shitty battery life, also being skinnier is massively negated by having a fat camera bump to make it a wobble fest on a table, really cannot see what is exciting about that unless they're gonna sell it for $250.
That slim iPhone seems cool, but I’m a flagship guy! Now if in the future they figure out how to get better battery life, the best cameras and it’s not bendgate 2.0, I’ll be interested!
Jaime, did you have the S25 phones available before the official release or not? Just so we can understand if you were posting those 5+ "rumor" videos about S25 already knowing the facts.
Hello Jaime! Good to see you got back home safe! Idk what i was expecting from the S25 Edge but from what i saw I was underwhelmed... Might just go ahead and switch to the S25 Ultra. That Titanium Silver Blue is dazzling!
LoL, why would you say It’s clickbait? At no point do I call this a review or first look. The device photo is one I actually took and just made a good composit. 😉
I had the s7 edge, back in the day. It was by far my favourite phone i ever owned. Amazing camera and battery life. If the 25 edge is more of that, then i will definitely make it my next phone.
I am gonna wait for the S25 Edge. My hands are not that big and I like small compact phones like the iphone 13 mini. Also, I already have a Z Fold 6 so the Edge will be a welcome addition.
How about the latest Flip having the ability to make and receive calls and messages in folded mode. This would appeal to those potential customers who want a smaller phone.
Thanks for the awesome video. I am looking forward to your reviews of the S25 line up as I am thinking about getting the S25 base model!! Keep up the great work. I always enjoy watching your informative videos
Jaime, I’m considering the vanilla S25. Have you any experience taking photos in low light or of moving subjects with it? I need photos of my doggie to look good or it’s a bust. Thanks!
I’m going to go out on a limb and say no, the iPhone ‘Air’ isn’t coming. What is the point of these thinner phones being marketed as mid or flagship tier devices? All of a sudden, no mention of ‘Ultra’ or ‘Foldable’ in the Apple rumors?
Mainly reduced weight. Heavy phones are kind of annoying for some people (particularly women and young people who aren't exactly fond of holding a brick all day).
I'm more curious why the slim version is called Edge. I mean maybe the issue is that I'm mixing up with other Samsung Edge devices that had an actual edge, a curved display.
I think sometimes less is more. I think Samsung should team up with Sony or Canon or Fujifilm to develop a new camera instead of using a off the shelf camera for their phone. Also have Essilor or Zeiss or Nikon to make the camera lens, and Samsung just focus on the software part. Instead of 3 cameras maybe just 2 bigger cameras that are more capable than have 3 smaller cameras.
I have not bought a phone in 5 years because the crazy size of these bricks! "Are you happy to see me, or is that a phone in your pocket." Finally, the trend is going back to thin, like the late 20-teens.
I have the Z Fold 5. I'm holding out for the Z Fold 7. Hopefully, it'll have flagship (S24 Ultra) cameras, including 5x zoom plus a wider outer screen and S Pen support
Wish Samsung would go back to how they were under DJ Koh. I get it, gotta make margins, but man, the fact that phones are getting worse, (Ultra) or taking forever for anything major is REALLY a disappointment. It won't happen, but brands need to make new phones every other year. We're long past the yearly need for phones.
I just can't imagine people are going to be out there lining up to buy one of these when they're literally a watered down device just to be a couple of millimeters thinner. Smaller battery cell, same processor as the flagship, and worse cameras? Idk perhaps people out there really do care about the aesthetic appeal of their device but it just seems pointless.
If we look back to the Samsung 6 and 7 edge this new s25 edge doesn’t look or have anything edge so far, maybe it’s me but i think the edge brand it’s for something different…..
I’ve never gonna understand for a phone that folds in two or three or zooms 3926km away. Sure they are okay features but so what? Especially at an unjustifiable price point.
I think the Air/Edge/slim phones are just a gimmick. Unless they can make them all that slim in the future. Im more interested in the Fold & Trifold phones now. Will probably wait to upgrade my S23 Ultra to some kind of Fold in the future.
You make a good point. If they can give us a phone that's just as good but slimmer, I'm down for it as well. And yes, I'm interested in the TriFold but just not optimistic on the price.
I don't think nobody asked for a thinner phone or thinner iPads on the iPad it's definitely a downgrade. Slower charging and overheats a lot because they had to make it thinner for no reason at all😅
What is the point of a thin phone like that if the cameras are so big?... You will not notice a difference when you put a case and it needs to be thick to cover those cameras!... We need a bigger battery not a thinner phone!...
I'm shocked, but not surprised, that Samsung’s roadmap is again to rip-off popular products, as you have Huawei’s Tri-fold, Apple’s Vision Pro, Meta’s glasses, and now a fat Edge knockoff version of Apple’s iPhone 17 Air too. Talk about Samsung and their so-called design team coming off as being utterly shameful and so desperate-looking these days. 💯🤭

I do think it's possible, particularly with the sensor on iPhones where pixels even without binning exceed the size of 1 micron. When there's forced binning because these are smaller, it does mean regular cropped-in photos won't look so great.
