If your into Model Cars &/or Slot Cars this is a Swap Meet you need to put on your Bucket List. 🙂For MORE model related shows check out my past videos as I'm sure you will find something you'll like. 👍
Cool, It was so nice meeting you both!!!!!! Really looking forward to seeing you two at another show. When the Gasser is back on the street we will do a video on it. Keep safe Mike and Rita and I'll see ya soon!
Some great bunch of models and slots. Some really cool old stuff I seen too. A lot was out of my price range. Really cool looking 1:1 cars & trucks on display. Thanks for sharing Tim. Have a good one buddy. Terry
WOW like you said if your into slot cars that is the show for them lots of vary cool stuff for them for sure and a good selection of models kits too thanks for the look Tim enjoyed 👍
AFX was my favorite slot card but I had a bunch of Tyco’s I bought from other kids also. I had an old Autoworld catalogue that showed you how to build winning cars bu drilling holes in the chassis and scraping plastic from the inside of the body to lighten them up. Also was a fan of their white sticky tires - but being a kid they didn’t stay white for long. There was a lot of Monogram car models that would have followed me home. Thank you for the tour. 👍🏼🇺🇸
Hi Tim, I didn't know slot cars were still that popular. They have a lot of cool stuff there. I had a track back in the early 60's. I used to spend hours racing my brother. Great memories. Thanks for sharing. Have a great day. Jeff
Don’t think I’ve ever paused a video so many times! Great show. Very reasonable prices on the plastic kits and good to see the market finally dropping out on warped promos. I don’t do slot cars but I saw a few I’d have had to get.
@@THROTTLEPOWER was also great how you paused to look at everything. Since I don’t live in the US it’s interesting to see decent prices and availability on what I’d consider some quite rare kits.
I started with 'Thunderjet' by Aurora in '68 with the largest track in the Sears catalogue that year for my 'big' gift for that year . so when Aurora went to AFX i naturally went with them . I kept playing with slot cars all my life until i couldn't get on the floor to set them up. My last track was about 5 yrs ago and was 1/43rd scale Scaletrix with indy cars that were quite fast and fun . i was buying large sets at online auctions cheap then , ended up with 4 large sets worth of track . probably close to a scale miles worth . Cool show , Thanks for sharing ! 🙂
@@THROTTLEPOWER 😄😄 I did see so many slot cars and models i owned or built .since the mid 60s . Some of the slots and hot wheels i forgot i had owned but remembered them with fond memories of simpler times and not having a care about anything but the moment . Thanks again !😏😀
Tim! Thanks for this video! You've got great model shows in KY! I wondered if you saw my friend John Crowder from Paduaca KY he's the one who introduced me to your channel, he was there!!! Your video was excellent extensive coverage of models for sale there. I wish I was there, lots of things I want were there!! Very good show!
Awesome video. I wish they had swap meets like that up here. I just picked up a fairly new tyco set that someone thrown out for trash . Only one car missing. I been collecting models and parts for decades from yard sales and market place . Diecast cars too
Great show Tim, I recognize some of those tables from the Chattanooga show. Thanks for posting! I put it on my calendar for next year. Heading to the Spruedoo show Down by Little Rock, AR Friday (Saturday show), Shawn may be able to make it.
My table was 24:07-24:20. I recall you recording the table, just didn't know it was you. Ha! Steve always does a great show. I've done his show all five years now.
Those Kentucky boys sure love their slot cars.... I'm only able to attend my local Acme Southern National show and really dig your videos.... want to thank you for taking the time and effort so we can see everything up close ... pause key sure comes in handy when watching.
awsome Tim 1to1 cars great to see too my Irish one is saterday Sunday my first show look forward to seeing what they do over here hope there's plenty venders
You took me back to a time when I was 10 years old and every chance I got it was off to the hobby shop and the big tracks running my 32 nd and 24th scale cars
Really great stuff, but some of those prices were kinda not.. Lots of kits that got my attention and wish I could find around here.. Great job brother, have a good one 😎👍
I thought you might like this vid Shawn, I know you would have enjoyed the swap meet! 🙂 I picked up decals from STS and found some more track for my slot cars (never have enough track). Wish I would have got the #43 Petty Hauler that I was looking at. Was going to go back and get it but got to talking to some people and forgot about it until I got home.
Thanks David...... Several decals from the STS booth and then found some more track for my slot car set. Wishing now I picked up the Petty hauler I was looking at. Was going to go back and get it but I got busy and forgot about it until I got home.
Unreal! I just had my knee replaced or I would have loved to have gone to this. I collect AFX slot cars as well as model kits. It appears I will also miss the James Dean Rod Run for the third straight year leaving my '50 Mercury in the garage alone :-(
Hope you heal up and get back that '50 back out soon Kevin. My Mother in Law just had her knee replaced too. Getting ready to put the James Dean and Ducktail vids together today.
Do they have this in the months of July to August? That's when I take my vacation and can travel to see this. Great video. I'm a slot car fan and collector.
I could easily spend at least $500 there on the unavailable 1/25 scale models. The sad thing, I m at least 2000 miles from Kentucky. Been there couple times years ago.
I picked up several Decals from the STS booth then found some track for my slot car set. No models this time but now I'm wishing I picked up the Petty Car Hauler I was looking at.
