Oh to travel back to 1989 & be 19 again. Senseless Things, Mega City Four, Roses, Mondays, PWEI, Pixies, House of Love...great times. RIP Mark, taken far too soon. 😢
Best song nobody ever heard of. To listen to this now as a 49 year old fat bastard I suddenly become 18 again, listening wide-eyed to music I'd suddenly found that sounded like it was made for people like me by people my age. And it was! RIP Mark, thanks for everything. 1! 2! 3! 4!
@@bendeane945 yeah. I was standing next to him in the food queue before the gig and we sat together and chatted while we ate it. He was dead excited as they’d just come back from the Far East shortly before and had had a great time. I have some photos of the gig somewhere! I’ll need to raid my archives…
Great Tune .. nice loud upload.. memories of them at the bull and gate with a very lively audience! Think a guitar got broke by a stagediver if I recall
I wonder if they listened to The Replacements. Or maybe they had similar influences. Sounds like a mix between them and The Clash 👍👍. The video style & early Jamie Hewlett artwork fits perfectly

This song sounds the same way that being young feels.

52 now and still listening to Mega City 4, Senseless Things, Snuff, Leatherface all these years later!@@prasiet1
Mate, 51 and with the same feelings!
Yep. Brilliant band. Just transports me back in time and tears me up.
RIP to the great Mark Keds
“The older that you get, the more goes unsaid”
What a great tune, so sad the news of Mark Keds passing.
One of those few songs you can never hear too many times.
Yep, here i am 28 years later. Saw them a few times back in the day.
Rest in peace mark, you will be missed 💔
RIP Keds :(
RIP Mark. I bloody Love this song x
RIP Mark. Postcard CV is one of my favourite albums
Makes me feel so nostalgic for my youth, saw these guys so many times. RIP MK
never heard this song in my life but it feels so nostalgic for some reason
I heard it about a year ago and felt the same, exact way! It hits with an inexplicable melancholy of nostalgia.
yeah it’s a very odd sensation
100% agree with this. I'd never listened to them before but it hits the nostalgia buttons so hard.
Never heard this song before either, but it straight away reminded me oh The Replacements and the nostalgia of youthful days
Forever my favorite song. RIP Mark Keds!
RIP Mark Keds 10/1/21 thanks for the tunes 🙏
Rest In Peace Pop Kid x
Farewell Mark. You’ve left us with some truly great tunes and left me with a memory of chat over a lovely curry at the Mean Fiddler..rip x
You had a meal with Mark? That's pretty cool!

@@GavinWoollard wow, that sounds amazing! He sounds like a
pretty down to earth guy
So long and thanks for all the memories Keds.
Morgan Nicholls is possibly one of the greatest bassists of all time.
I totally agree - said it for nearly 30 years.
Possibly?
Absolutely. Him and Cass are fabulous.
agreed!!
He's one of my bigger influences together with Mark King and Les Claypool. Sadly I'm not a famous bassplayer and thus this info is irrelevant :)
RIP Mark.
Farewell Mark - gone too soon 😔
R.i.p mark...❤
RIP Mark you bloody genius you. Take care lads.
RIP Mark
This is pop music. Why this wasn't a number one single will always be one of life's great mysteries.
I reckon it could do with a chorus or just a line or 2 at the end of the verses but it’s a great song
Gutted to hear the sad news. Saw them play in Sherborne of all places. What a thing of beauty this single was and still is.
Possibly the perfect pop tune !
It's a tune I always come back to. Loved them ever since the Deadline/Tank Girl days.
Deadline was amazine.
its always the indie bands no body ever heard of is the best tunes on the planet:)
RIP Mark Keds. 🙁
Classic sound and a timeless riff that bring back good memories. So sorry to hear about Mark.
RIP Mark x
i love senseless things since 1990. i love this song very much.
Lucky enough to see them live a number of times, being an old fart isn't all bad😁
Great song. Still got the 7". Where did 25 years go?!!
Never heard this song before this is my first time listening however it brings nostalgia 💓🥰
Absolutely Excellent Classic Outstanding Genius Of Masterpiece ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I overlooked this band at the time, swamped by all the other indie stuff, although I liked Mega City 4. Great to see and hear now.
i love this song
I'm so sad at times. Life can be hard. Still this random band music helps.
The art on their music is amazing plus they guys had something awesome.
Pop punk perfection
my favourite song
Mine as well. :-)
que buen bajito
great bass
My favorite song.
I had a dream last night about Mark. The strangest thing he was exactly how you would think he was, quiet and shy strange I'd never met him.
Great Tune .. nice loud upload.. memories of them at the bull and gate with a very lively audience! Think a guitar got broke by a stagediver if I recall
Muse and Morgan Nicholls brought me here..this is pretty good stuff! :)
Morgan is an incredible bassist - listen to Easy To Smile for definite proof.
Thanks for posting this, it bought back loads of memories from seeing the at Newcastle Riverside :)
Saw them there more than once, always brilliant

They did listen to the replacements, I think they supported for them in the states maybe or uk not sure
very cool❤️❤️❤️💝🎸✨
RIP Artist!
Tank Girl!!! 😍
❤️❤️
I'm so old now. Ho Hum.
FAB!
Punkpop at it's finest!!!!
this vinyl play loud in my stereo
Cool Replacements cover. Really nailed it.
This should have been used as one of the Inbetweeners outro songs... missed opportunity for both parties
RIP
Kids today don't know about music ...
Llege por Tank Girl. I arrived by Tank Girl.
Tambien yo
killer pop kid loveliness...
Still great 11 years after I made this comment, and now we've lost Keds......RIP mate.
Fucking unreal.......
yes. fucking great
You blocks, you stones, you worse than senseless things!
Every kid wore Keds
😞😞
Beach slang cover brought me here
Hey man
Yeah they both rock. And this band is a classic :)
Twickenham terrors
I remember a more polished version of this song and it was a better version
Think they re recorded it in 1994
Purple Rain by Prince???
+Meson Natividad wha?
this song is purple rain by prince
Same chord progression, indeed.
If that's the case then this song is Racing in the street by Bruce Springsteen too.
Keds looks like shit these days, but heroin addiction does that to a person - he can still write a good tune, though.
All too true. But man, what a talent (and beautiful boy) he was.
