When I saw this comic as a child, I had no idea why the turtles looked like that. I just skimmed through the pages, but the visuals of the story stuck with me.
These turtle designs are perhaps the most true to their ninja sides. Ninja often wore identical clothing while on missions to confuse the enemy on how many of them are on the premesis. This led to the myth of ninja being super fast and being everywhere at once. The turtles being truly identical in this style, down to not even naming themselves, lines up perfectly.
Eh, it looks really real. And I could see why you’d like it. But the amount of money they’d lose by making this movie would unimaginable. It’d have wayyy more haters than the 2014-2016 versions.
Thanks for watching! What did this story make you think about?
It felt like I know that if these versions are going to pop up in turtles forever 2, the interactions would be funny af

Even the "when" of the story is ambiguous. The clothing on the characters would suggest It's in the past, but the buildings are incredibly modern.
Michael Zulli’s art is incredible. His work on Puma Blues is great too
Thank you for always providing such great background info. I’m excited to read the previous material.
It's a great story with even better art 🎨
Why isn't this made into a animated turtles film yet it'd be absolute peak
Apart from issues 1-4 one of the greatest TMNT stories and ART!.
I don't know why but I always assume the injured turtle was donatello
😂
You wouldn't be wrong either
I'm wondering which one was the one whose hand was cut off in that war. I thought it was Mikey.
@@rorschach4938 tbh, with the last word he said I thought it was Raphael. He was the turtle that always wanted to be free the most
@buckycharms5393 interesting but who the fuck knows
I remember the Mirage comics. After issue 18 or so..the stories got weirdddd
Yeah… you can tell
I wish we where getting this stuff as a film

It would work better as a short animated film
@@Albino_Basilisk that… would actually work. Damn, do you plot movies😭?
Why do they have shoulder pads.
It is thier dragon choice by Michel Zully
Breaking News: Michael Zulli has passed away
☹
@@TheTurtleNexus sad day in Turtles Fandom
I really love the lore but due to religious reasons I’m not on board 100%
