100% need to see a big tyre shoot out with the 4 you mentioned
I’d love to see the big tire shootout! These tires, the injora 62mm tires, powerhobby trail warriors, lgrp swamp king and trail king, anything you have from rc4wd.
Another thought for the test, running stock with stock foam and then maybe venting with crawler innovation lil nova medium foams so they are especially gooey just to see what it does for overall capability /performance.
Hell Yeah with the tire comparison. Don't forget the slingers
Would really love to see them run with no foams or smaller diameter foams on your FCX buggy. Totally agree re the weight of your rig effecting how tires work. The amount of deformation at the contact patch really changes how they grip. I think these pin comp's without foams will deform nicely. Love to see how they'd run your "impossible to slow crawl" hill. Thanks Matt!
I had the same thing as far as softness when I mounted some of the injora crawler master 58mm the just seemed too firm so I took the foams out too soft then. I had some foams out of some 52mm and threw those in, magic. Really changed the performance.
Alot of complaints on the foams in these being too big. Alot of guys trimming them doing what you did.
INJORA!!!!!!....... Send this fella 3 sets of each of your new tires so he can play around with them!!!! Worth the advertisement for the investment!!!!!
I will give injora this, their tires have never failed to disappoint..
Great vid bro!!! So many tire choices these days!!! I have the same problem, I have a ton of tires just not enough wheels!!! I got lazy mounting and dismounting!!!🤣🤣🤣
Hey I see you have the limited addition FCX 24 just ordered mine yesterday. Appreciate you sharing yeah ain’t too much of a pin tire guy. But I still appreciate you sharing catch on the next one
You should do the big tire shoot out but also adding the lgrp grippers and the powerhobby mud boss
Thank You! All great information 🤙🏽
Yes big tire showdown!!!!
Love the idea of big tire shoot out should do original little guy 65mm too
Never could get anything out of those tires lol
Hu h. Huh. Huh. Hey Beavis. Nice nervous constant lol.
Matt: I think Injora has some new wheel nuts on their site. 'Hex Coupling Nuts' or something like that. Brass and Stainless. They look to be longer so may stick out enough to negate the need for the bearing spacer and solve the issue of your nuts being recessed too far in. 👍
*** Just reread the above........I don't mean 'Your nuts'. I should have said the WHEEL nuts......🤣🤣🤣😇🙊
Thank you Matt. HEY to liam!
Thanks for the video!
looks good 👍🏼
Great video. Again, thanks for sharing... Believe it or not, since i'm watching all these content. I built a truck in My mind with those tires. When i saw You putting a FMS axles.
I'm building My deadbolt with some weight and brass, so I have some leftover parts... Which Made me think of creating a súper light but capable version.
Recently I bought few parts from Mofo, now i'm waiting For those to arrive it's going to be a while because i'm far.
So, i would like to get your opinion if You think a Buzzsaw 2.0 with stock transmission and esc Will move the FMS axles? Or just brushless motors Will work?
Last, I Will love to see the tire battle hopping You add the mud slingers and both little guy tires
Thanks men You do great I hope My English okey.
Any motor will move the fcx24 axles easier than it will the scx24 axles so I’d say the buzzsaw will work great!
Have you tried the different crawler master tires I kinda was leaning towards the 54mm I've been running mud slingers and kinda looking for something a tad smaller to get my cg lower and the nobs look great but you know makes them jump all over on climbs
Let’s talk about those paddle tires in the background! 😃
Rc4wd Falken Wildpeaks are really sticky just like those. Actually both the Wildpeaks and the Thornbirds are.
I’ve ran them both. They were ok for me. Thornbirds were really good but kinda small for me. They must’ve changed the compound on them cause no way mine would’ve balled up. I got them way back when they released though.
@@2fmrc I just got them yesterday. Seems like maybe it said something about the Alien compound but I've looked at a lot of tires over the last few days lol
Yeah nice save
Where did you find the 1/24 wraith style bodies
🏁
Hello from southeast alaska how's it going today bro
what weight oil do you have in the treal shocks?
I used some Losi 15wt in them
What motor and esc is in this truck your running the pins on?
Time for an updated tire comparison seems like there’s a lot of new stuff coming out
So much you can’t even cover it all 😆
What esc are you running on that grey fcx with that ebay motor?
There are so many variables. Every truck, tire, course combination is different. On one of my rigs the Trail kings perform better than scramblers on my course. Everyone’s experience is gonna be different.
Yep! These pin tires were horrible on one truck and pretty dang good on another. I got the foams sorted out on them now and they are much better imo
You said that you use WD-40 on them I use olive oil and Brake clean works really good
I used that exact motor in my 1/18 Panda rc, got told that it would burn everything up. It didn't. It just didn't have enough torque in the panda rc...
Have you used the powerhobby Mud Boss tires yet? if not you need to so I can decide what I need to get I have 5 I have to build all the same so best driver wins in the family LOL
Nice! I have a set on the way!
@@2fmrc awesome let me know mud boss or trail warriors
@@richardrogers1349 trail warriors without a doubt. Ran the mud boss on my indoor course for about 5 mins and pulled them. Didn’t bother running outside cause they struggled so bad on my indoor course. That was with Flubberstufferz in them.
@@2fmrc awesome thanks for the info brother
Great video as always. You need a helmet cam. Lol
Have you tried going foamless with any tires?
i ran no foams on my 6x6 to make it float but for the fcx in high no foams makes it bad at high speed
I ran some long ago with no foams. If you don’t vent them then they are always going flat, then you have to take the wheel apart to air them back up. Then if you vent them with no foam they just seem too soft for me.
@@2fmrc BUT....... These have quite tall side walls and are narrower, so I think it be worth a try! 😉
They made them proportional to the 2.2 tires and the pins are too close to each other. They should be more spaced away (not sure if thjs is the term)
I know exactly what you mean. Same thing I thought about the el cheapo pins I showed. I’m thinking about cutting every other one off on my other set just to see how they do 😆
@@2fmrc thats what I was going to sugest. I was enthusiastic with these tires.... what a let down!
@@kalimahhh they are actually doing really well on my course after just venting them. May even trim the foams a bit and see how they do.
Please tell me the new chyrax’s are better than these
Sucks to hear about your custom fcx24
Try no foams in them and crawl it again
A bit disappointing but they are too big for a shorty, anyways, especially with portals. I’d like to see how they do on a gladiator chassis. Commenting early, so I’ll be back. Lol.
That’s about what to be expected from a tire too big and not vented. Looked like they did well on the fcx. Vented, broke in and on a gladiator chassis, I bet they’re rad. I really want to see how they do on the range! Thanks for sharing brother! Hope you have a great day!
@@texomarc Probably even better run no foams or smaller diameter foams so they can really deform nicely. And put them on a LCG chassis that's long would be real nice to see! Now, if we only new someone with that kinda MAXimized rig set-up.......🤔😜
@@wingnutbert9685
Thanks for the suggestion, buddy! In the tires I tried, I didn’t like no foams, too small foams or non vented. On the terrain that we drive on, the best I’ve tried by far is the trail warriors with v4 flubberstufferz, vented. The side hill went through the roof and they’re softer than broke in foams. Now they’ll have to make a v5 for these tires. Drooling already! Peace bro!
I wonder.
'Some tires work great on some trucks and bad on others, and some tires and trucks are great on some terrain and bad on others'
I wonder if someone could get a government grant to Science the heck out of it and sort out all the variables like link length, shock type, spring rate, spring angle, wheelbase, weights, motors, gearing, ride height...
And then you plug in "I have X, Y and Z fixed" and it spits out "Move your shocks to hole Q and R and use tire J for conditions P."
Like I tell clients: "Given enough time and money, all things are possible." 😁😉
Lol.
They are kind of ugly but they ended up performing well on the second truck.
Yeah they aren’t the lookers for sure 😆
Replace the scrambler.!! Blasphemy.
Haha! Probably not gonna happen but man they are soooo similar and I like pin tires normally.
