Thanks Carl, I'm most happy to hear you're pleased with the video! Yea, I was digging all of the music references for scenario titles. Definitely gave me some chuckles and it also makes them super easy to remember! :)
I'll also add that I'm not just praising the video because its a self-serving promotion for the game but you are on point with the dialogue, pacing, and editing. The preparation for the video showed. Better than some fumbling and unscripted unboxing videos.
@@calvinboy24 thank you, I appreciate the kind words, I really do! I do my best to prep for these videos so I can speak with some understanding of the games that I'm showing, and it takes several hours to shoot and edit each of these. I've never been a fan of the old "and we've got some counters, oh and a map... some dice... cool" unboxing videos that we've all seen through the years. Instead, I felt gamers and publishers would be better served with a little more comprehensive presentation so that customers could make a more informed decision, and designers/publishers would have their product shown off in better light. As time has gone by I've worked things down to a better flow, since practice makes perfect but I'm still a long ways from perfect. :) I do as many of these as I can afford to buy. lol Glad you liked the video, appreciate it when the designer enjoys it as much as I do! :)
Should be able to order it pretty soon I expect, once all pre-orders are out the door. So, get your order in when it's available for regular purchase. And then you can have all the world war III action! :)
Thanks for the detailed unboxing. This looks like a good one to play. How do the counter chips compare to GMT quality and also thoughts on the complexity of the game? Thanks.
It's the Standard Combat Series, so the rules overhead is not high. Component quality is standard MMP quality which is very good IMO. They don't use the same thick counters that GMT has switched to but I actually do prefer the thinner white core counters over the thicker chipboard personally.
A truly excellent overview, Moe. I clapped when you said you liked the 80s Music references for the scenarios.

Great looking game. Thanks for doing an unboxing preview

Thanks Mo
Thanks for checking it out! :)
It looks like the rivers were printed white rather than blue. Is that a trick of the camera or a printing error?
They're a light blue, which can look white at that angle.

When does it release?
It's being shipped to pre-order folks now, and should be available for regular purchase shortly. Guessing within a week or two.
