This song has aged phenomenally in the (at this time) 8 years it's been released. I used to listen to Bassnectar a lot as a kid, but I'm not entirely sure how I missed the Freestyle EP. I'm still glad I can experience the quality of this track now than never, and I have a feeling this will be associated with many positive memories to come

I'll never forget playing this through my headphones in 2016 while on the plane to Japan. It was my first plane ride and certainly my first trip out of the country. Looking down at the Rockies and the clouds definitely left me breathless. The fact that I was going somewhere I had only ever dreamed brought tears to my eyes. Unforgettable.

This song reminds me of when I went to California with the guys I grew up with. I had a hotel with my friend, his name was Matt. We watched our friend graduate from the marines. It was one of the best times of my life being with all my friends, it was our only vacation that we took together. We’ve known each other since we were in 3rd grade. He passed away 6 years ago, fuck fentanyl. To this day my heart gets heavy listening to this song. I’ll never forget That short time in California, being 19 and not having a care in the world. I’m 27 now and I’m still grieving. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to get over it. He was the friend that taught me to laugh at the world while it’s burning.
I miss you so dearly my friend. There is and never will be a day where I don’t think about you.

I was drunk and I was in my bed listening to this song on my earphones. It's been a while. I put a pillow on my head while listening to it and let the bass and the music fills me in. The last drop hit and it made just let the music flow and told myself let go of everything, enjoy the rhythm and feel it. It was one of the best moments of my life. Thanks to this song

I was at a friends house, newly acquainted, and we were talking about the most random of encounters in our lives; how our fears became so prevalent, what it meant to be in a moment, how we came to that very spot in life -- All the while we let the music in the background be just that, as we laughed and chatted the hours away. She had asked for a request to become the DJ for the next millennium and I agreed. Ears wide open, never heard of this song or even know of this Bassnectar she clicks and Mimi Page sings. My mind tranced into a desert, stretching for miles and my thoughts were full of a muse . . . it was one of the surreal moments of my life. I laid down on the carpet, staring at her ceiling and was walking a minded desert. A couple of weeks later, after finishing a graphics project in college another friend of mine asked me to tag along and help photograph Bassnectar at a local venue. I said yes without hesitation. One of the best concerts I have ever been to. My life completely changed because of this one song - I continued the hobby of photography, I found a muse in music, inspired to work professionally in various areas of art in the business world, build friendships and keep an open mind. I still at times walk through the minded desert, my smile wide as the goosebumps on my arms become more visible.

I've figured it out guys. Lorin is the current incarnation of that Jesus dude. He is the official representative of the one they call "God" and his only mission is to give us a glimpse of what it feels like to cross to the other side. His music opens the door so we can see what lies beyond, his shows throw us across so we can experience it. It all makes so much sense.
