TiO2- The Materiality of White

Video documenting a field trip to a old and a new ilmenite mine in Norway. Students participating in the research project TiO2- The Materiality of White collect samples from the ilmenite ore, rocks and sand from the deposits. Back at The National Academy of the Arts- Norway, the students and research leader is discussing the collected materials, and are experimenting with titanium dioxide as the main mineral in ceramic glazes.
