She’s oddly underrated yet very effective compared to most mages! Altho she isn’t like very ranged like most mages, she’s such a pain to deal with if ur laning against her as any melee or short ranged hero. Definitely a solid mage if played right! _Unless ur facing a team full of assassins that can quickly take you out or marksmen that outrange your skills_
@Freak Show well, that technique usually can be used against ceci, but in late game, it is hard to used cause he likely to be guarded n he cannot be approached. Neverthless, his ult made he is immune to slow. You can bully ceci with her with zoning him so he can't get minion in early, but when you against good ceci player in late game, lylia will cry 😞, i try go against ceci with lylia, the result is chaos. When i against lylia with ceci, although i got zoned in early game, in late i bullied her, that technique that you said cannot be used to ceci player who check bush everytime with skill 1 n 2 in the late where everyone is missing , you will only get so hurting poke dmg from him.
I still remember Lylia would get five charges immediately after the first respawn. She used to dominate in slowing the enemy from getting a buff. However, she was nerfed a few seasons ago.
As a global glory Lylia I can say this is a great tutorial, but I'd like to add some points at combos and laning. Most of Lylias waste all shadow energys in the first minute trying to get the first blood on the enemy mid laner; This may work if you're mythic V, but if you are a little bit higher you're gonna waste all your balls without killing anyone, simply because any good player knows how to avoid getting killed. When the enemy is hard to catch because of how they move or predict you, instead of spamming 2nd skill recklessly, just use second skill one time, make it blow and before throwing another 2nd, cast 1st on the enemy - you're gonna slow him down - and then use 2nd skill: this way you're gonna hit him for sure. If the enemy mid laner is weaker than you (for example a 1v1 Lylia vs Cecilion in lane), instead of chasing him without getting any kill, just zone him out from the minion wave. For what concerns the emblem set up and the build: magic shop is the best imo and the build used by you is good. Mine is practically the same: cd boots, talisman, antiheal most of the time, ice queen, genius wand and last item depends on the situation. Most of the time I build holy crystal and sell shoes to build queen's wings, just because I'm recklessly confident on my position during the teamfight, but if you ain't as mad as me just go for a defence item or for double penetration and everything is gonna be fine.
Wow, to think there is another player lylia that use queen wing other than me. That item is hella good for lylia, i use that item passive as indicator for pressing ult, the spellvamp is quite good

As a lylia main, I also recommend aegis as a substitute for purify! I often use aegis to absorb damage when cc-ed so u can survive then use ur ult after. Good for countering heroes with both cc and burst damage like eudora, aurora, guinevere, kagura., etc. Also good when ambushed because stacking ur 2nd skill may take time and u actually want to use ur ult when u reached the max stack so using aegis will absorb damage as u stack ur 2nd skill.

I would suggest to just keep ur second skill for crucial moments like supporting the tank when invading enemy jungle or protecting core from invading enemies. Wow! Lylia main here. We were just talking about Lylia in the comment section from your last video hehehe. Cause many were surprise that she has 7 points difficulty. I also use flicker and purify spell on her. Purify when there are many enemies with cc. Flicker for escape and useful when I need to reposition. She's a very good hero to harass the enemy early game. That's why I also like using her in gold lane because she can really give the opponents especially MMs a headache due her slow and damage. Sometimes, I play aggressively when there is like one enemy in the tower and the other enemies are present far in the map. I tower dive the enemy 😂 (detonate 2nd - flicker in - spam 2nd - ulti out). But this is not applicable all the time especially if the enemy you're trying to kill has cc or has immo/winter truncheon/high HP. Also in higher rank many enemies can outplay you so you have to be careful and dont be over aggressive cause you're squishy.

Tip for catching moving targets: use 1-2 combo instead of the usual 2-1 since they can easily run away when you cast the 2nd first. But 1-2 combo needs to be tapped quickly to be effective.
Did you know she can absorb the 2nd skill of eudora and she can also escape from aldous, and also her ultimate is like beneddeta's immunity.. i bet you some players didnt know that.

Watching all ur videos, but I love this kind of video. Quick guide of using heros and build. It helps a lot of new user and some of old player which less using certain heroes. I hope u can make a playlist like this video to all heroes too..
Another tip is that her 2nd skill works like a ward so if u put one in bushes it'll give u and your team a vision, so i'd recommend to put those wards while taking objectives, just keep an eye of your distance since walking too far away from it will cause the ward to disappear.
another counter for lylia and other close range mages like valentina and faramis is longer range. without a setup from a tank or setting up an ambush, she can be outzoned or outpoked, making her ult less useful at activation
Tip for explosion. Just keep on tapping her skill 2 if your are facing heroes without dash skills or if they have used their dash. They will die in almost an instant. You will also be able to use her explosion at higher speeds if your just spam without aiming then when you finished all 5 (or 6 if you have 40-45% cd reduction), you can just time to use ult again so you can keep spamming her explosions. 10-12 explosions total and it can surely kill even a tank.

If your fingers are fast enough, you can try using 1st skill first and then placing 2nd skill before it disappears. That way the enemy gets slowed down twice by both skills and deals extra damage cause of the immediate explosion. You can often get first blood if you position and time it right during the literal first minute of the game.
THANKK YOUU ELGIN FOR RECOGNIZING MYYY MAINN She can be used on exp lane too to get lvl 4 early. I prefer burst build to her than cooldown build. The higher the magic power the better. And getting first blood early than 1 minute is very satisfying to this hero (with flameshot). I really loved her ever since her release in advanced server up to this day. yes i also recommend a burst build, you can get cd reduction from lightning truncheon, benefit from the late game with clock of destiny because shes strong enough in the early-mid game.

As a lylia main, in the late game building immortality is a must and if your about to die I recommend you to try your very best use your ult first rather than relying on the immortality. Because if you rely on the immortality the black shoes will reset to the time that you resurrected, meaning by the time that you use your ult when you try to gain your hp back there's only 15-20% left on your current hp since the black shoes has been reset. Most of the time my battles spell is purify to protect my KDA in the game but if you're really confident that your enemy is just a pawn to you I recommend flameshot. Also lylia is good at chasing enemies, turret dive is a normal thing if you're a lylia main if your purify and ult is available turret diving is an easy thing. Lastly if chasing is a thing for lylia escaping using her passive is also a great way to escape. There's many more tips and trick using lylia try to master this hero and dash heroes like lancelot won't bother you anymore.
The enemy Lylia already master her kit. Because a good Lylia user knows how to mantain Gloom to maintain high damage. (Gloom is the cute little alien she left after 2nd-1st skill combo, Gloom will level up if she consumes more bomb up to lvl4 this make her deals more damage.) When fighting against her you must be careful of her gloom, the bigger Gloom is the higher damage it can deal. Plus within the area of Gloom Lylia gains movement speed and gains more speed when her Gloom levels up.
Never underestimate an early game Lylia. Lylia is one of the strongest heroes at level one and can get first blood easily if u r not careful. She shines best in early and mid game.
u can cast your first skill prior to placing your energy ball. its like throwing abyssal arrow before placing the trap with selena or that other xavier combo that I see e2max do.
One of my main heroes, I use lylia in rank, she's very useful in clashes specially if u already have the ice queen wand. She can also clear lanes quicker than other mages (very helpful in late games if you need someone to defend the base). Plus you can chase low hp heroes without worrying as long as you have your ulti to get away quickly.
Here's my other tips as a Lylia main -As i observed from players who are just new at playing lylia, they usually deploy all her 2nd skill in one place and then explode it(usually done in early game). NO DON'T DO THAT ITS A HUGE WAIST OF 2ND SKILL!😭😭 -Be aggressive! Also don't just tap-tap your 2nd skill (in explosion state) since there's a huge chance that you won't hit the enemy. AIM AND PREDICT -Always be careful and make sure you combine her 1st and 2nd skill. Your damage relies on her explosions on her 2nd skill AND IF YOU FAIL TO DO THE COMBO YOU WILL BE USELESS ESPECIALLY ON CLASHES (I swear this is a pain in the ass sometimes lmao) -One gloom at a time. As I've said earlier don't deploy your 2nd skills all at one. (Edit) If you do this mistake, you can't control where the gloom explodes resulting from missing all the damages. Also it's a huge waist of 2nd skill. That's why one gloom at a time. -If you're chasing an enemy, cast first skill first then 2nd. You need to be quick on executing this combo. If you fail, the shadow orb(2nd skill) won't explode. -Pay attention to your ultimate and use it wisely.
I always go for the first wave mid lane kill, you can get up to 3.5 charges of skill 2 then proceed to attack, if you kill the enemy mage then good, if you didn't, most often than not, you have managed to zone him out of the first wave. Win win for me. Lylia is also the best in pursuing enemies, I can tank a few shots from the tower to pursue enemies and hit Ult to return when HP falls low. If Lylia pushed along with the upgraded Lord, even if it's 5v5, it's over! They'll have a hard time defending that. Another note, Since I got 5% CD from emblems, I use magic boots instead of the cd boots, along with talisman and necklace. Having magic boots keeps me alive against Vale and other cc heroes as the cc ends a bit shorter so I can Ult before I got hit.
Lylia is an op mage a while ago but eventually faded up because of the nerf on her second skill which make her 2nd skill stack at 1 upon respawn. Not to mention the new anti mage item Radiant Armour which gladly counter her combo damage
You can build her Magic Shoes > Talisman > Ice Queen Wand > Shadow Twin blade > Winter Truncheon > Immortality Combo is Basic attack and instant 1st skill but before the 1st skill lands, place a 2nd skill to its path, in that sense, it reduces the delay of her 2nd skill. The slow from your basic attack adds additional slow effects (passive of shadow twinblade) lasting enough before your ice queen wand took effect. Her 1 > 2 combo is commonly used by xavier and selena. But a delay in pressing the 2nd skill will lead you to a fail attempt. Lylia can be use against heroes who relies more on stationary skills such as pharsa, odette, yve, lunox, etc. You are effective against marksman in the early to mid game but be careful in late game because she is quite squishy and can be easily burst down. She is annoying to most of the fighters but hard ccs are her weakness as mentioned in the video.
As a lylia main i was being much more focus on cooldown buikds cause of the slow effect of every skills it have and the skills of it is already high dmg

She's actually my main. I use Ice Queen and Scorch, with the second mage emblem that deals more damage. Even if they escape with 5hp, it burns them dead lol I get first blood in most cases. Also the ultimate cd equipment helps

As a Lylia main, others find it hard for Lylia to use well yes it is because she doesn't have any crowd control yet she have a slow but easy to counter with dash skills, she isn't a long range hero yet can counter melee heroes, her ult complex since it is the only escape skill she got, if the enemy knows that you used your ult then the enemies will probably kill you first, so you must distance yourself. I like Lylia because she have a good damage, can counter nana also and her ult is also like purify if you use it on the right timing. If your team has already a mage and you still used Lylia you can convince them that you go gold lane if the enemy have a weak marksman so you can dominate them and make them lose a lot of gold (be careful you might got gank though) Also as a mid laner Lylia, I always like to rotate to the GOLD LANE if the enemy is having a problem or need help and always go with the TANK, especially when contesting the litho since Lylia is a early game monster. EXP LANE Lylia is also good, you can also counter chou, aldous, alice in the EARLY GAME, if possible bait them with your ulti, if you're going to tower dive you must always look at your hp so you can use your ult at the right timing. Playing SIDE LANE must ALWAYS join clash if possible and CLEAR minions as soon as possible. If the turtle is on your side, they probably will contest it, so you must always join the clash. If your building a CD BUILD you ulti in the late game will be probably less than 18 seconds so you can spam your ulti anytime But if a damage build your ulti will be probably less than 23 seconds well I prefer damage build tho but you can build: Boots > Mana necklace > build enchanted talisman next > if you complete na recipe of the enchanted talisman buy MAGIC BOOTS > then build ENCHANTED TALISMAN > build CLOCK OF DESTINY > LIGHTNING TRUNCHEON > MAGIC NECKLACE or GENIUS WAND or HOLY CRYSTAL or IMMORTALITY > and last is DIVINE GLAIDE since probably the enemies will build athena sheild. If the enemies build radiant armor just laught because Lylia isn't Chang'e, yes her damage is continously yet athena sheild is BETTER to counter LYLIA.
As a lyl main, here's random tips from what I've seen in all my Lylia games and enemies and build?(I guess) I don't rly like lightning truncheon (most lyl enemies or allies I've seen, do this) cuz it takes 6 secs for lightning truncheon to cooldown when enemies are most likely alrdy dead, so more dmg. Since she's early game hero, you may be tempted to build clock which is decent enough but I suggest more dmg My build Reduce cd boots>enchanted talisman>ice queen>genius>holy crystal or fire wand>a def item(either athena,winter,immo, antique) or necklace if anti heal is rly needed. Also, concentrated energy is good if the enemies are defending their base, unli hp as long as there's minions For me necklace is most of the time unnecessary cuz they die before they can kill. Glowing wand if the enemies are tanky since it deals continuous dmg Emblem: Magic worship For me that's the best for lyl, can also be impure rage BUT it triggers every 5 secs Magic worship is 12 secs but that extra fire effect can help u kill them if they manage to escape with low hp. And don't be afraid to tower dive if the enemies are only immobilize, you'll most likely escape and kill them such as Odette or miya. For WANWAN: idk if all the wanwans I met are inexperienced or not but as long as u have a lil distance u can kill her easily with about 3-4 balls For ALL FAST heroes: if they're good, goodbye, u can't do anything since you'll most likely die before you deal damage since she needs aiming :) The first tip I should've known before I played Lylia: FIRST BLOOD: it's not really necessary to always get first blood, you're either gonna end up dying or waste too much mana in early game but if there's a chance, go for it..like ceci flameshot or Odette flicker(most likely heroes will attempt to save flicker than their life), if they did flicker, now u can kill them the next time easier OR they can't flicker combo which may be deadlier. Don't try to save ulti unless ur winning by a huge margin in late,even in a 1v1 U may die cuz u thought you may kill without ult..a mistake I did many times
Extra tip: When using her energy balls as wards and you want to go somewhere else like an ongoing teamfight, you can can activate it with your Skill 1 so it will only disappear after a few seconds even if you are far away! This is useful for showing stalking enemies on the map. A few seconds of vision in an area is very useful for the team! Best used when activated in busy bushes (ie bush near enemy blue buff etc.)
I learn something new, and I regret always do the 1st and 2nd skill trick, HAHAAHAH. I always do the 1st2nd trick I swear i don't ever think to use my 2nd skill before 1st skill and it's sometimes failed because only 1st skill summoned but the 2nd skill not, and now i see your video I realized it's much better if I use may 2nd skill before 1st skill it's much easier rather than 1st2nd skill trick.
One tip: use her ulti when you are on a tight spot because it can recover your hp and mana and give you more chances to kill because just like elgin said it also can recover your main source of damage your 2nd skill:

That's why I also like using her in gold lane because she can really give the opponents especially MMs a headache due her slow and damage. Sometimes, I play aggressively when there is like one enemy in the tower and the other enemies are present far in the map. I tower dive the enemy 😂 (detonate 2nd - flicker in - spam 2nd - ulti out). But this is not applicable all the time especially if the enemy you're trying to kill has cc or has immo/winter truncheon/high HP. Also in higher rank many enemies can outplay you so you have to be careful and dont be over aggressive cause you're squishy.

Tip for catching moving targets: use 1-2 combo instead of the usual 2-1 since they can easily run away when you cast the 2nd first. But 1-2 combo needs to be tapped quickly to be effective.

Watching all ur videos, but I love this kind of video. Quick guide of using heros and build. It helps a lot of new user and some of old player which less using certain heroes. I hope u can make a playlist like this video to all heroes too..
Another tip is that her 2nd skill works like a ward so if u put one in bushes it'll give u and your team a vision, so i'd recommend to put those wards while taking objectives, just keep an eye of your distance since walking too far away from it will cause the ward to disappear.

Tip for explosion. Just keep on tapping her skill 2 if your are facing heroes without dash skills or if they have used their dash. They will die in almost an instant. You will also be able to use her explosion at higher speeds if your just spam without aiming then when you finished all 5 (or 6 if you have 40-45% cd reduction), you can just time to use ult again so you can keep spamming her explosions. 10-12 explosions total and it can surely kill even a tank.

If your fingers are fast enough, you can try using 1st skill first and then placing 2nd skill before it disappears. That way the enemy gets slowed down twice by both skills and deals extra damage cause of the immediate explosion. You can often get first blood if you position and time it right during the literal first minute of the game.

She can be used on exp lane too to get lvl 4 early. I prefer burst build to her than cooldown build. The higher the magic power the better.
And getting first blood early than 1 minute is very satisfying to this hero (with flameshot). I really loved her ever since her release in advanced server up to this day. I will never regret myself for being a lylia main😭

yes i also recommend a burst build, you can get cd reduction from lightning truncheon, benefit from the late game with clock of destiny because shes strong enough in the early-mid game.

You can also use 1st skill first and then use 2nd skill on the 1st skill while it is traveling to cut down the explosion delay of the 2nd skill.

As a lylia main, in the late game building immortality is a must and if your about to die I recommend you to try your very best use your ult first rather than relying on the immortality. Because if you rely on the immortality the black shoes will reset to the time that you resurrected, meaning by the time that you use your ult when you try to gain your hp back there's only 15-20% left on your current hp since the black shoes has been reset. Most of the time my battles spell is purify to protect my KDA in the game but if you're really confident that your enemy is just a pawn to you I recommend flameshot. Also lylia is good at chasing enemies, turret dive is a normal thing if you're a lylia main if your purify and ult is available turret diving is an easy thing. Lastly if chasing is a thing for lylia escaping using her passive is also a great way to escape. There's many more tips and trick using lylia try to master this hero and dash heroes like lancelot won't bother you anymore.

Whenever I come against her idk if it is just me I am always suprised at how much damage she deals especially in the early game
The enemy Lylia already master her kit. Because a good Lylia user knows how to mantain Gloom to maintain high damage. (Gloom is the cute little alien she left after 2nd-1st skill combo, Gloom will level up if she consumes more bomb up to lvl4 this make her deals more damage.) When fighting against her you must be careful of her gloom, the bigger Gloom is the higher damage it can deal. Plus within the area of Gloom Lylia gains movement speed and gains more speed when her Gloom levels up.
Never underestimate an early game Lylia. Lylia is one of the strongest heroes at level one and can get first blood easily if u r not careful. She shines best in early and mid game.
Be careful against her in early to mid game, in late game she is just a minion with a telephone skill

One of my main heroes, I use lylia in rank, she's very useful in clashes specially if u already have the ice queen wand. She can also clear lanes quicker than other mages (very helpful in late games if you need someone to defend the base). Plus you can chase low hp heroes without worrying as long as you have your ulti to get away quickly.

Here's my other tips as a Lylia main
-As i observed from players who are just new at playing lylia, they usually deploy all her 2nd skill in one place and then explode it(usually done in early game). NO DON'T DO THAT ITS A HUGE WAIST OF 2ND SKILL!😭😭
-Be aggressive! Also don't just tap-tap your 2nd skill (in explosion state) since there's a huge chance that you won't hit the enemy. AIM AND PREDICT
-Always be careful and make sure you combine her 1st and 2nd skill. Your damage relies on her explosions on her 2nd skill AND IF YOU FAIL TO DO THE COMBO YOU WILL BE USELESS ESPECIALLY ON CLASHES (I swear this is a pain in the ass sometimes lmao)
-One gloom at a time. As I've said earlier don't deploy your 2nd skills all at one. (Edit) If you do this mistake, you can't control where the gloom explodes resulting from missing all the damages. Also it's a huge waist of 2nd skill. That's why one gloom at a time.
-If you're chasing an enemy, cast first skill first then 2nd. You need to be quick on executing this combo. If you fail, the shadow orb(2nd skill) won't explode.
-Pay attention to your ultimate and use it wisely.

I always go for the first wave mid lane kill, you can get up to 3.5 charges of skill 2 then proceed to attack, if you kill the enemy mage then good, if you didn't, most often than not, you have managed to zone him out of the first wave. Win win for me.
Lylia is also the best in pursuing enemies, I can tank a few shots from the tower to pursue enemies and hit Ult to return when HP falls low.
If Lylia pushed along with the upgraded Lord, even if it's 5v5, it's over! They'll have a hard time defending that.
Another note, Since I got 5% CD from emblems, I use magic boots instead of the cd boots, along with talisman and necklace. Having magic boots keeps me alive against Vale and other cc heroes as the cc ends a bit shorter so I can Ult before I got hit.
Lylia is an op mage a while ago but eventually faded up because of the nerf on her second skill which make her 2nd skill stack at 1 upon respawn.
Not to mention the new anti mage item Radiant Armour which gladly counter her combo damage
gladly or badly I mean it's good for fighter or tank mains but isn't it bad for you who use her? or you main tank and fighters too?
You can build her Magic Shoes > Talisman > Ice Queen Wand > Shadow Twin blade > Winter Truncheon > Immortality
Combo is
Basic attack and instant 1st skill but before the 1st skill lands, place a 2nd skill to its path, in that sense, it reduces the delay of her 2nd skill.
The slow from your basic attack adds additional slow effects (passive of shadow twinblade) lasting enough before your ice queen wand took effect.
Her 1 > 2 combo is commonly used by xavier and selena. But a delay in pressing the 2nd skill will lead you to a fail attempt.
Lylia can be use against heroes who relies more on stationary skills such as pharsa, odette, yve, lunox, etc.
You are effective against marksman in the early to mid game but be careful in late game because she is quite squishy and can be easily burst down.
She is annoying to most of the fighters but hard ccs are her weakness as mentioned in the video.
finally some awareness for her , i main her and seldom does anyone snatch her away from me cuz no one use her . But she's too powerful :DD

She's actually my main. I use Ice Queen and Scorch, with the second mage emblem that deals more damage. Even if they escape with 5hp, it burns them dead lol I get first blood in most cases. Also the ultimate cd equipment helps
You can actually use your first then second for no delay of your explosion, you could say it's like xavier (1+2)

As a Lylia main, others find it hard for Lylia to use well yes it is because she doesn't have any crowd control yet she have a slow but easy to counter with dash skills, she isn't a long range hero yet can counter melee heroes, her ult complex since it is the only escape skill she got, if the enemy knows that you used your ult then the enemies will probably kill you first, so you must distance yourself.
I like Lylia because she have a good damage, can counter nana also and her ult is also like purify if you use it on the right timing.
If your team has already a mage and you still used Lylia you can convince them that you go gold lane if the enemy have a weak marksman so you can dominate them and make them lose a lot of gold (be careful you might got gank though)
Also as a mid laner Lylia, I always like to rotate to the GOLD LANE if the enemy is having a problem or need help and always go with the TANK, especially when contesting the litho since Lylia is a early game monster.
EXP LANE Lylia is also good, you can also counter chou, aldous, alice in the EARLY GAME, if possible bait them with your ulti, if you're going to tower dive you must always look at your hp so you can use your ult at the right timing.
Playing SIDE LANE must ALWAYS join clash if possible and CLEAR minions as soon as possible.
If the turtle is on your side, they probably will contest it, so you must always join the clash.
If your building a CD BUILD you ulti in the late game will be probably less than 18 seconds so you can spam your ulti anytime
But if a damage build your ulti will be probably less than 23 seconds well I prefer damage build tho but you can build:
Boots > Mana necklace > build enchanted talisman next > if you complete na recipe of the enchanted talisman buy MAGIC BOOTS > then build ENCHANTED TALISMAN > build CLOCK OF DESTINY > LIGHTNING TRUNCHEON > MAGIC NECKLACE or GENIUS WAND or HOLY CRYSTAL or IMMORTALITY > and last is DIVINE GLAIDE since probably the enemies will build athena sheild.
If the enemies build radiant armor just laught because Lylia isn't Chang'e, yes her damage is continously yet athena sheild is BETTER to counter LYLIA.
As a lyl main, here's random tips from what I've seen in all my Lylia games and enemies and build?(I guess)
I don't rly like lightning truncheon (most lyl enemies or allies I've seen, do this) cuz it takes 6 secs for lightning truncheon to cooldown when enemies are most likely alrdy dead, so more dmg. Since she's early game hero, you may be tempted to build clock which is decent enough but I suggest more dmg
My build
Reduce cd boots>enchanted talisman>ice queen>genius>holy crystal or fire wand>a def item(either athena,winter,immo, antique) or necklace if anti heal is rly needed. Also, concentrated energy is good if the enemies are defending their base, unli hp as long as there's minions
For me necklace is most of the time unnecessary cuz they die before they can kill.
Glowing wand if the enemies are tanky since it deals continuous dmg
Emblem: Magic worship
For me that's the best for lyl, can also be impure rage BUT it triggers every 5 secs
Magic worship is 12 secs but that extra fire effect can help u kill them if they manage to escape with low hp.
And don't be afraid to tower dive if the enemies are only immobilize, you'll most likely escape and kill them such as Odette or miya.
For WANWAN: idk if all the wanwans I met are inexperienced or not but as long as u have a lil distance u can kill her easily with about 3-4 balls
For ALL FAST heroes: if they're good, goodbye, u can't do anything since you'll most likely die before you deal damage since she needs aiming :)
The first tip I should've known before I played Lylia:
FIRST BLOOD: it's not really necessary to always get first blood, you're either gonna end up dying or waste too much mana in early game but if there's a chance, go for it..like ceci flameshot or Odette flicker(most likely heroes will attempt to save flicker than their life), if they did flicker, now u can kill them the next time easier OR they can't flicker combo which may be deadlier.
Don't try to save ulti unless ur winning by a huge margin in late,even in a 1v1 U may die cuz u thought you may kill without ult..a mistake I did many times

Extra tip:
When using her energy balls as wards and you want to go somewhere else like an ongoing teamfight, you can can activate it with your Skill 1 so it will only disappear after a few seconds even if you are far away!
This is useful for showing stalking enemies on the map. A few seconds of vision in an area is very useful for the team!
Best used when activated in busy bushes (ie bush near enemy blue buff etc.)

I learn something new, and I regret always do the 1st and 2nd skill trick, HAHAAHAH. I always do the 1st2nd trick I swear i don't ever think to use my 2nd skill before 1st skill and it's sometimes failed because only 1st skill summoned but the 2nd skill not, and now i see your video I realized it's much better if I use may 2nd skill before 1st skill it's much easier rather than 1st2nd skill trick.

One tip: use her ulti when you are on a tight spot because it can recover your hp and mana and give you more chances to kill because just like elgin said it also can recover your main source of damage your 2nd skill:
