Years ago, my parents saw a pickup truck go around downed railway crossing gates.
Within a few seconds, the passenger train zoomed by, narrowing missing the truck.
Anyone who drives around railroad crossing gates really deserve a Darwin award 🤬🤬

I say the railroad needs to hire some railroad police officers so they can give a ticket or get a arrest for the idiots for doing any stupid and nice the Lone Ranger theme song
A few more railroad police or even city police enforcing crossings would definitely not be a bad idea. I love the William Tell Overture.
@@TheCentralTexasRailfan i know but is just I blame for the people try to do anything stupid those idiots need to follow the railroad safety rules or face the consequences
@@TheCentralTexasRailfan A nice idea would be cameras at both sides of the railroad crossing that would activate when the signals activate. They would take a picture of the vehicles license plate so law enforcement (whether that's the city or railroad police) can send them a pretty hefty fine in the mail. Just like a red light camera but for railroad crossings.
