If you haven't figure out the part on darling where Vernon tells the members something important it's because when you look at the floor they have no shadow and Vernon figured that they have no shadow at the beginning of the MV where he tried to cover his face with his hand and when you look at his face there's no shadow and i think its because the time is not moving on and they are afraid of the present so as the shadow start showing up I think that means the time is now moving on.
Seventeen choreography is something that should be look from birds eyes view because even though it look synchronized from the front and nice, it’s even more satisfying if you can see how they move with their formation/rotation.
Seventeen does have sexy songs, but they're not as on the nose as some other groups' with the hip thrusts and stuff. Check out songs like Good to Me, Fast Pace or Light a Flame (I died when this one came out). Also solos like Hoshis Spider or Touch.
Totally agree! I feel like because their “sexy” is not so in your face all the time that it creates more impact when they do intentionally show it (to the point that it makes me blush really). Aaaand I shall add If I, I don’t Know, 24/7, Crazy In Love, and Fronting to this list.

Based on what they've said about the album, in this MV, the good things slipping away and darkness creeping in only for their whole world to fall apart (literally) is Covid hitting and cutting them off from Carats, making them fear for that relationship and their careers. They don't want to say goodbye _to us_ they wonder if we are still paying attention to _their feeds_ etc etc. First English song is kinda huge to me bc they've had multiple title tracks with ZERO English. Also Woozi didn't know that (romantic) blood type compatibility isn't a thing in the West so that lyric became kind of a whoops (explains why it's always in idol bios tho! I was so confused before)

It's a cute blunder and also shows they truly are the ones writing their songs. I find it interesting that first english song as a group (2 Minus 1 would be the first but it's Joshua and Vernon only) has no western producer on it, just the usual team of Woozi/Bumzu & Prismfilter that Carats know and love.

There are a lot of theories about Darling but to summarize the MV, it's about Seventeen getting out of their comfort zone and facing their fears and inner shadows in order to grow as people 'd artists. This is also the story woven through the album, Face The Sun, as the album expresses their wish to become a presence as strong and influential as the sun, and what they have to go through to get there. I'd recommend watching Seanna TV's review of the album on youtube. They go through each song's meaning and background story as long-time Carats and I agree with most of their analyses.

The concept for Darling was not a break up concept it was actually about fear of losing affection of their Fandom because they are maturing and growing older and it was a love letter basically to the Fandom saying we hope you stay with us as we grow older together and the concept was based off of Peter Pan. Remember the lost boys and Peter did not want to grow older but in the end Wendy left because she wanted to grow up also Wendy's last name was Darling. There were lots of Peter Pan clues throughout the Darling video.
Yeah I feel like in general when Seventeen does sexy concepts, they do it pretty "subtly" (tho it doesn't make them any less sexy XDD). Every time someone reacts to Darl+ing I want to see if they notice that they have no shadows. And you actually rewinded to pause at the EXACT moment it's pointed out by Vernon but you saw the very blurry notes on the floor instead and I was like noooooo so close!! (I didn't notice the shadows either before other people mentioned it to be fair lol). Also it's cool that you got to see the MV then dive into the album right away because omg the theories were flying non stop ahah But Darl+ing is basically a goodbye to their innocence, in the MV the clock is blocked so the time doesn't pass and they're trapped in a bubble of illusory happiness and their shadow (that represents their fear and dark side) doesn't exist. However it appears when the clock breaks. The album follows the same narrative, I don't remember which member explained it but each song is about a new step in accepting the dark part of themselves and accepting it. The sun represents fear, so face the sun is about facing your fear and challenging it :) And yeah recently the hip hop unit hasn't rapped that much, I think it's because they're exploring some more pop rock sounds and Woozi is taking full advantage of the deep husky tones of the hhu. Generally speaking they're not super known for being a rap heavy group or for having agressive type of rap, they're more melodic which I personally am a fan of. But they do have really good rap songs though! Some of them were performed at concerts only it'd be good if you could also check them out! Can't wait for part2!

Hard agree on Seventeen choreos being not in your face sexy. Of course there are some but mostly, seventeen choreos are about pretty movements, creative formations, and reflecting the lyrics. I am not a dance person at all so i didn't think I would care for choreo but I have watched all choreos for Seventeen. My My, Fallin flower, home;run, rock with you, snapshoot are some of my favourite chreos just off the top of my head. You should definitely check them all out as you go through their music
SEANNATV on UA-cam actually made a whole breakdown of the album along with some explanations of the lyrics on each song. Both of them are Carats and are Korean teachers and the husband is a native Korean. So their explanation is quite an interesting watch.

I screamed!! this is really one of those mad mvs we need to go frame by frame to process the details. all right I'm back cause I had to watch an editor break the transitions in the mv down for me after you broke down the meaning and I wanted to point out a few things, first the DARLING idk if anyone noticed it (I absolutely did not) but the bullet that goes through the heart hands hits the L in DARLING and the word becomes DARING instead. I screamed!! this is really one of those mad mvs we need to go frame by frame to process the details. There's a frame of a zoomed in shot of the coin they kept tossing around and you can read the embossed legend on it and it says: bet your tomorrow on the sun of fate. Also the way I see it with this concept is that they're embodying the SUN in every aspect: they're daring, playing with fire/danger, embracing risk even dancing with death (the skeleton) and the fuming bullet in Vernon's mouth etc until they reach the end of the mv and the fake sun that was behind them loses its fire (cause they've absorbed it) and its true form is revealed (it burns out and the fans appear) and then we see the real sun and a seventeen member grabs it and the rest is history.

Ho period 🤣 😂 in a way, this comeback era is indeed that but it’s more of them breaking up with their youthful and always cheerful image. They said they wanted to show more of their passion, their hunger for more (success, credibility, individuality, what have you), and darker side. You’ll see it with the lyrics of the songs in this new album. I support them 100%!

37:44 the only seventeen’s song that i can to distinguish between the voice is the song by performance unit WAVE, i really check out the colour code to recognise their voices in that song like i really enjoy the song every night before i sleep as lullaby
