      Hi Iwin that's amazing. You are in a perfect position to eventually become fluent because you can learn creole from different sources and then practice with your boyfriend. There are a lot of Haitian comedies out there, try to watch them to practice listening. Every now and then I post certain shows or music in my group so feel free to join facebook.com/groups/2059963124096914/ or just follow our Facebook page. facebook.com/Mshaitiancreole/

But there's also a WhatsApp group you can join to practice speaking. The WhatsApp link is in the Facebook group intro. facebook.com/groups/learnhaitiancreole

    This video is so helpful, but I have some questions at 2:00 isn’t it “ alo” ? And not allo with two Lls, but only with one?
    4:21 is “ Hey” already a Creole word? because it didn’t translate
    At 11: 28 is “ ok” a Haitian word which jsut means okay? Or ok?

      Hi, you can use the word hey to call on someone if you don't know their name or don't want to use it but it's a bit rude to call someone hey. Ok or okay means the same but keep in mind we also have a city in Haiti that is also spelled "okay" which is Au Cayes in French. Some people will also use the word "dakò" or "pa gen pwoblèm" when they agree with you. The first one mostly means they agree and the second means no problem.

    I don’t understand how to pronounce the “r” in rele. Is it kind of like how you pronounce the r in French? Or is like the way you pronounce “r” in English? I’m sorry if this is a dumb question but I really don’t get it 😅

    • @HaitianCreoleMsCreole
      @HaitianCreoleMsCreole  4 роки тому +1

      Definitely not a dumb question. I think it’s pronounced more like the ‘r’ in French than English. In Creole you don’t use your tongue to pronounce ‘r’ The sound comes more from the throat. Try it and see. Let me know if it works.
