I am a fan of women's sports because they are usually technically better than men's counterpart because they are less athletic so rely more on technique and team. That's not true of the WNBA in general. They have a few good players and a lot of tall lady's that lack skills and athleticism. Catlin changed that and I think the players that couldn't show similar skills were afraid and jealous.

CC has done a remarkable job of storming the court and finding alternative opportunities. Team USA wouldn't take her to Paris, but she's off to Europe on her own merits.
You do it by replacing all the fake REFEREE'S,with REAL REFEREE'S, which will call out all fouls regardless of the players skin color or status. That will create a real basketball game that people will watch and allow players to excel without being afraid of repercussions from bully veteran jealous players.

I don’t watch WNBA games but I watch highlights of the games. So I understand that someone comes along and set a standard for sports fans to watch and go to games. It seems jealousy made this sudden interest in the game fade away suddenly as well.

The issue is that NOBODY has that “draw effect” that isn’t Clark. That’s not just drawing fans to put butts in seats but also marketing as well.
If anyone in the WNBA right now makes there own shoe and Clark makes her own shoe the crazy difference where Clark’s shoes will be gone less then 24 hours. Meanwhile the other player’s shoes wouldn’t even be close to what Clark will get and if I can be really really honest….nobody would give a 💩 if it’s not Clark’s shoes.

The league has a bigger problem. CC is gone and a lot of the big names are banned for drugs. They have no product. They will draw less the a division 3 collage team. The WNBA has become a reality show of the worst kind.

This is simple. In the NBA, the ratings went up due to the millions (maybe even billions) of Chinese people who have a player in Yao Ming to root for. Caitlin Clark is having that same effect on the WNBA. Caucasians now have a pretty good player to root for in a sport dominated by African American players. We're really messed up as a society! A lot of you never cared about the WNBA until this year. Does the WNBA have to rig the games to see the Indiana Fever go further in the Playoffs? This shows how much Caitlin Clark is supported and not the sport!

The W does not need to "craft storylines". That is not a function of a sports league. They need to provide a LEVEL PLAYING FIELD with consistent quality referees. The rivalries and story lines will craft themselves as the franchises of the league develop talent and skills in search of victory. That's how sports work. This isn't supposed to be some scripted "reality" show where the producers know what:s going to happen and the viewers tune in to find out. It's a G-damned sport where the best team on a given day takes it home.
