Hearing him give a shout out to Benj Pasek Justin Paul for Dogfight is really awesome. That Michigan bond... :) Go Blue! I got to see Darren at school (UofM) before Glee, got to see him in How to Succeed for my first Broadway experience, and I was lucky enough to score tickets for his upcoming show. So excited to see him enjoying his earned success, and I think it would be great for him to come back to Broadway, especially if it was with an original Starkid show!
I've been a Pasek and Paul fan for an insanely long time (like...before Starkid existed long), so it warmed my heart to hear Darren give them a shout out. I would love for him to sing one of their songs...maybe Part of a Painting? He'd sound really good singing that.

Matt Willis (from the British band Busted) played Fiyero in the West End version of Wicked for eight or nine months and he was incredible and he has a very pop/rocky voice and he was so much better than I expected him to be so Darren could definitely play him just as well!

You said this about his eyebrows 4 years ago and don’t no if you will notice this now of what I’m saying. But once I said that until I saw an interview of him talking about dolphins and I looked at his eyebrows and noticed they look like dolphins. Now I would not have him change anything about them. Just my opinion. Lol.

It's really sweet that fans are defending him from himself saying that he COULD do all those roles as they are...but guys, he's being realistic. With the power voices we have for that music, his is not adequate for lots of roles. He's a talented musician, no doubt...and because of that he knows what he can sing. There are roles he could do,of course. He's also very humble and he's shown us that- but he's being real too. You're not disloyal if you agree with him on this, guys. It's okay :)

At this point, it doesn’t matter what he’s doing. I’m so enamored by his morals and values and perspectives that I’m always interested in what he has to say an offer. It’s not that he’s incapable of being boring, it’s that I’m incapable of being bored by anything this man does.

He should stop doubting his abilities, he may not have the ability to belt or fill a huge theatre full of his voice, but one day there will be the perfect role for him on Broadway! However, I would trample down as many people as I can to see him play Fiyero. He is amazing!
