One funny strat I really want to have fun with is Wish Passing Salamence. Because yes, at some point in it's life, Salamence had Wish(which it should have, because the whole lore about it is that it wished to have wings and be able to fly)
Several gen 1 Pokemon have gone even further than just falling to ZU, finding no usage during current gens. Tauros, Rhydon, and Victreebel are all currently Sub-Zero Used, and Jynx and Exeggutor were SU in gen 8. Even Gen 1 Pokemon in OU in other gens like Marowak, Golem, and Dugtrio have fallen to SU in newer gens.
From what I played of Pokémon the game has changed a lot over the years and I only played gen 8 and played the others on showdown which shows me how the game evolved and how it changed. One of the things that changed me the most was Zacian from gen 8 it’s overpowered status at that time taught me a valuable lesson if you want to win study the meta before you play and use top tiers cause if a Pokémon has to rely on a specific niche than you will lose every single time.
Honestly Salamace is still strong in UU. It's weird it doesn't have sheer force while Bagon does It's funny you made a video about Thundurus because therian just rose up to UU while Incarnate is now being suspect tested in RU at the moment. Mew had to be nerfed in order for them to fall in gen 9. If Snorlax got guts and slack off, it would be doing better. Regular Tauros is no longer good but it's aqua and blaze forms are actually very good. They do have a lot of potential.

Dusknoir and Electivire were two staples of gen 4 OU that have become completely unviable even all the way down in ZU in generation 9. These guys were so impactful on the metagame back in the day. It’s so sad.
Actually, these two guys aren’t even good in Gen 4 OU, however new players used them so much that they never dropped to UU, where they would’ve done well.
Both of those pokémon are considered "not worth using in OU" in gen4 and are only OU by technicality, for historical purposes. Maybe while DPP were current people thought they worked, but they aren't very good at all.

Snorlax never getting slack off is just sad, its the bare minimum they could do for it imo
They probably think Rest as a move is too iconic for Snorlax, a move that would be supplanted by Slack Off if it were availabe to it.

Heracross was OU for its first 2 generations to being NU in Gen 9. It was even in PU at one point in Gen 9
If Tauros had to describe his competitive carrier, he would do the Kratos falling meme
If Heracross was given an elemental punch, U-Turn and strength sap, it would be doing much better.
