    nice content!
    I would advice you to use crewchief as an announcer though, sounds better, has good feedback and can event talk you down if you spin haha.
    also pay attention to the track tilting: in the last corner of this track it dips on the inside, thanks to that you can carry much more speed through the corner if you make use of it. as soon as you are 0.5-1m wide of that inside your line will be put out very far, you see that perfect at 12:20 where the car in front used the dip and you didn't. tracks like this one of laguna seca (in the upwards left kink) are known for that technique :)

      @Deckchair_Racing  4 дні тому

      Haha that's just what I need, someone telling me how much of a muppet I am! I'll check out crewchief though
      Yeh I found that in the MX5 at Laguna Seca last week, so much faster if you can get that perfect line. Got a great video of my lowlights from that race going out soon. It chewed me up and spat me out haha
      Thanks for the advice though

    Noo that slip out was tragic 😭 otherwise a great race. I appreciate the 3rd person perspective and replays, having some context makes the race more engaging :)

    I’m also finding these rookie races rough with unsafe rejoins and peoples lack of awareness of those around them

    • @Deckchair_Racing
      @Deckchair_Racing  5 днів тому

      Yeh it can be carnage. I've decided that I can't do anything about anyone else, so just got to focus on me. My next video is about MX-5's at Leguna Seca from last week and it really does show the pain that is losing races due to other people's mistakes

    "Really forces you to go slow in, fast out"......proceeds to go too hot into every corner!! As a tip, always try to avoid too much tire squeal in these cars. As you hear the tire squeal rise, ease off the throttle gently to keep it on the edge of traction.

    Some of my favorite races have been from Formula Vee. It's such a fun car to drive.

    • @Deckchair_Racing
      @Deckchair_Racing  4 дні тому

      I've had a lot of fun trying to learn it. I feel like it's punishing when I make mistakes, which I like because it forces me to learn. Love how close to the ground it is as well, the driving position feels amazing

  • @burlyraccoon5029
    @burlyraccoon5029 3 дні тому

    if you want to learn how to drive fast, i would recomend you learning visual points on the track of where you are supposed to brake, turn in and accelerate. that way you can learn the track on your own and dont need to match someone elses driving style. and also trailbraking is very important to learn to do well.

    • @Deckchair_Racing
      @Deckchair_Racing  3 дні тому

      Yeh that's what I have been trying to do, just spotting my own points and working off that. It's a sharp learning curve but I'm having fun doing

    How are you missing gear shifts with paddle shifters?

    • @Deckchair_Racing
      @Deckchair_Racing  3 дні тому

      I pull the paddle to early so my clutch peddle isn't actually fully engaged and it just knocks it straight out of gear. So not really missing a gear, just trying to shift to fast

  • @TheMx321
    @TheMx321 7 днів тому +1

    mainly focus on trail braking... and try to get understeer under control...
    when you use trail brakes well you will notice that you get more oversteer and you can use that to your advantage when you master it.
    You're going to notice that at the beginning you're going to get upset and go around... when you get that, you're doing it right.
    short story here but that's kind of how it works..

    • @Deckchair_Racing
      @Deckchair_Racing  6 днів тому +1

      Haha yeh I have done a lot of getting upset and going around. I've been a bit scared to trail brake it in races as I don't want to crash and I don't want to ruin anyone else's race. More time practicing is needed I think

    • @abirle
      @abirle 6 днів тому +1

      @@Deckchair_Racing hello, but that is the way to go fast, with oversteer on entry. i would recomend you a youtube chanell. please, watch some videos, or all the videos of suellio almeida. it will help you a lot. on entry you should use your brake for rotate the car, not for decelerating. it is better that you see those videos. sorry for my english.

    These and the 1600's are both tough, but they're amazing teachers for the faster series in D and C class
    Also, bind a button for tear-offs lol. It'll clear the junk off your screen

    • @Deckchair_Racing
      @Deckchair_Racing  6 днів тому

      Yeh I really need to bind the tear off button. I've got a thrust master T300 which doesn't have a huge number of options so I need to put it on my keyboard somewhere. I'm glad it's not just me that finds them tough to drive though!

    • @DanielWinterAt
      @DanielWinterAt 4 дні тому

      do you know if there is a way to bind the tear off and wipers to the same button? drives me nuts that they are different since they are basically doing the same thing and are exclusive.. you won't tear off in a GT3.. it should be a "i can't see shit" button instead

    • @Capitan1nsan0
      @Capitan1nsan0 4 дні тому

      @@DanielWinterAt I wasn't able to. I had the same idea, but it resets one when I set the other. An "I can't see" button made perfect sense to me

    • @Deckchair_Racing

      It should definitely be an option @danielwinterat because having them on two separate keys is pointless

    • @Deckchair_Racing
      @Deckchair_Racing  4 дні тому +1

      I'm using a Thrustmaster T300 with a load cell brake mod fitted. That's just clamped onto my desk, and the pedals are propped against a book that is propped against the wall. Seat is a £30 deckchair from b&q
      Hope that answers your question

    Slow in, fast out. Focus on a clean exit and learn all the track limits. Do enjoy this content though mate, big change from hating on Danny Ric 😂

    • @Deckchair_Racing
      @Deckchair_Racing  4 дні тому +1

      Hopefully this weeks races will be better! Thanks for the tip
      And don't worry, I will still find time to bash Danny Ric if I think it's appropriate. If he ends up at Cadillac in 2026 I'll have a field day haha

    • @sully4110
      @sully4110 4 дні тому

      @Deckchair_Racing haha, it's looking promising for a DR, given the American support. But, I'm not willing to put all my money on his return - I'll leave that for FP1Will so he can be wrong again.
      Also, once you're free from Rookies, come join us in Superlights & F4!

    • @Deckchair_Racing
      @Deckchair_Racing  3 дні тому +1

      Has he done a "Drivers who Andretti are considering" video yet? I love that kind of content but we struggle to make it work at F1Reverse. It's to different from our normal content and the videos never gain traction. But I will say it here just for you, DR has as much chance at a 2026 Andretti drive as Mick Schumacher, and if that ends up as their lineup, I'll make a video of me eating the massive Gazoo Racing flag that I got from LeMan this year that was drenched in beer and dirt by the end of the weekend and I still haven't cleaned... (That definitely won't come back to bite me haha)
      F4 looks super fun. I've watched a lot of Matt Malone driving that series and it always looks like chaos

    • @Deckchair_Racing

      100% right. I know it's wrong but I had such a bad time trying to trail brake it in practice I decided to just play it safe and try to have a clean race.
