- Katharine McPhee has that new mom glow! The singer shared the first photo of her and husband David Foster’s baby boy on Saturday, dropping an Instagram story in which she’s seen cradling the newborn in a blue wrap carrier while sporting a big smile and letting fans know that she couldn’t be happier about welcoming their new addition. “Just in case you were wondering…I love being a mommy!” she wrote. Kat and her music producer hubby have yet to reveal further details about their son, including his name, but a rep for the “American Idol” alum confirmed to Access Hollywood on Feb. 24 that the little one had arrived and he and his proud parents are happy and healthy.

......Was looking for photo of baby. The only picture was distant image in baby carrier she wore strapped in front of her body. Only could see a part of the baby head...I know I was hoping to actually see a photo of the baby but could barely even see a part of the babies head. Maybe the child will have more of a private safe secure life for more happiness than with wealthy parents that exploit their children bringing danger and sadness. Best wishes for the child.

These women don't think far enough into the future when they'll be widowed mothers of an underage child or very young adult. I think of Cary Grant becoming a first time father at age 62. Jennifer lost her dad at 20 and Dyan had to console her daughter just when her life was beginning. It's awful to lose a parent too early in life bec there are no others who can ever assume that role, no matter how much they love us.

If she was just trying to “secure the bag”, she would’ve gotten with him from the beginning, but there were no real sparks for her until years later, when she had already established herself & her career... & she said that she was clearly concerned before things even went there to an intimate relationship, about how people would perceive their age gap... people who are gold diggers don’t take those things into account. It’s a certain personality style & they don’t consider or care about age or public perception. David has been involved in those convos as well & he’s even mentioned that HE did the pursuing, before she ever became interested in him like that...

She said she *used* to be concerned about it, but has moved past it and they're happy. It wasn't covered in this interview, but she was also cautious due to the age difference. She got over that too. They anticipated getting judged for their age difference and know plenty of people will never approve. They don't care. I was skeptical myself, but his daughters love her and are very happy for them. Katherine's Dad lived long enough to see them get engaged and was also happy for them. Obviously I don't know them and no one can really know what goes on behind closed doors. But I've recently become a fan. They do a lot for various charities (David also founded his own non-profit 35 years ago) and they've been doing a ton of Instagram live videos (that are also on UA-cam) during the pandemic to support worthy causes. It's obvious they love each other. They really enjoy each other's company and have a lot of fun. I've had a lot of life experience and I can say that's a recipe for a successful marriage.

I'm genuinely perplexed as to why so many bright, attractive women get involved with a man with multiple failed marriages behind him. Do these women actually believe they'll be the one to make him deliriously happy in all the ways the previous wives couldn't....? I don't want to be cynical and say they're ALL gold-diggers, some will most definitely be---but, others will want a professionally accomplished, secure and mature partner. Qualities that younger guys just can't offer before age 35 or 40.
