Big up! Can you feel the groove pulls you between straight and shuffle? In reggae those two can intertwine. The groove can be a mix of those two measurements. Drums shuffle while rythem and bass play straight. Not obvious, but with a gentle touch. One love

Definitely! When decided to make a cover of this one I initially struggled to understand what the rhythm was of the descending line... it changes to a "lazy shuffle", if there is such a thing.... so, you are definitly right!

I don't see why not... but maybe there is a reason. The way I guide my playing is:
1 - does it feel effortless?
2 - does it sound good?
If it does not sound good, then something really is wrong... If it sounds good but there is a lot of effort (and/or even pain) -- then I am either doing something wrong - which can really damage the hand/fingers/wrist - or I need more practice to develop the strength/speed/technique/position to get to the point of effortless.
