I think people are sleeping on the fact that this mix actually tells a story…or at least I interpreted that. Heres what I got: We start in a world where all these characters are friends in a color landscape. They all enjoy the wonderful world, however, our main character the grey cat isnt as happy as the rest. The grey cat then meets a new member, the white cat. They introduced one another and afterwards, the white cat left. Soon after, there is a shift…the grey cat is suspicious of this new character, not knowing their true intentions, but ignores it regardless, until the tan whistler, warns the grey cat of an incoming danger…until blue comes, and continues this warning…but its too late. Then, chaos ensues…and the computer tells us whats happened…our beloved happy characters are now dead and is sharing that our happy colorful world, was fake. Grey finds out this white cat is an insane psychotic killer, and in response flees. As he runs, he runs past the corpses of his friends, long gone. The grey cat is horrified and continues to run. Soon finding a tree to hide behind in hopes of losing the white cat…however, he becomes the witness of the white cat killing brown…and his fear grows, seeing such a scene, cause his fear and anxiety to skyrocket. Until he remembers the tan whistle and warning, and begins to gain the courage to run and flee from this horrid land. So, the grey cat flees from the tree, but not without the white cat not noticing after her last kill, thus a chase ensues. The grey cat keeps gaining ground running as fast as it can go, the remembrance of the world before keeping his determination alive. Soon he makes it to an exit from this reality and the white cat realizes and stops, letting him escape. This world will remain a ruin to the death caused by the white cat. So many deaths of ones the grey cat called friends…gone by an enemy. The last message, is to the viewer. The grey cat may have escaped….but that doesn’t mean we have. With the computers last warning, our story comes to a close. The. End. god this mix goes absolutely insane i love the storytelling through both the music and the way the characters all appear. during my first listen/watch i got literal chills when you switched it to dark mode. i saw the hat man and was like "oh patrick we're really in it now". absolutely legendary

Holy shit- the amount of sheer effort you put into this is noticeable SO fast. The way you continued keeping things fresh and using the best aspects of the song while still giving every single piece a time to shine- and having such KILLER fucking moments like 6:35 and a following repeat sequence, then never using it again to keep it special but instead coming up with more and more ways to keep it fresh and creative. Holy shit, basically- all glaze aside; it was AWESOMEEEEE DUDE! Killer job. I didn’t feel robbed or bored of a single instrument like so many demo videos for a single second. very good mix, the choices made here fit so well, love it. here's a further explanation of why I like it: the timing of each added and removed instrument is on point, the transition to the creepy section is really good and doesn't feels odd or "out of place", I mean that's the point but I just say it's not akward or ruins the song in any way, the use of the lyrics screen is pretty on point too, not abused at all, it makes me wanna hear it again to go through the big trip you made for our ears, I imagine it took a long of trial and error, congratulations
You can kind of get a tiny foreshadowing by who might be dead, as in the first song the only ones who have a white center in their eyes who could be considered alive, are the grey cat and white one. Everyone else seems to have completely hallow pupils (Excluding the robot or any props originally in the first). In the second are the ones who turned out to have no shine in their eyes are somewhat brutally mutilated/somewhat more insane, to a different form. But that's just me lol might not be true
