- "It's A Beautiful Morning" is a song written by Felix Cavaliere and Eddie Brigati and recorded by The Rascals. Coming out in early 1968, it was the group's first single released under that name rather than The Young Rascals. The first album on which the song appeared was Time Peace: The Rascals' Greatest Hits. It continued the theme of carefree optimism that had distinguished the previous year's "Groovin'". The song was a big hit in the United States, reaching number three on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and also reaching number 36 on the Hot Rhythm & Blues Singles chart.[1] It was RIAA-certified as a Million Seller on June 28, 1968. The song had an introductory sound of mystical wind chimes and bells.

I was 17, had a crappy 1 room apartment and was finishing the last year of high school on my own, working nights in a laundry.(bad home life made me leave) Now 68 have had a good life and just retired. This song kept me going and I won!

I was twenty when I got to Vietnam in 1966. That song was one of the top things that kept me thinking positive, inspired me to stay alive in order to make it home and have a wonderful life.

I worked 3rd shift in a nursing home for years and I would sing this song to my patients as we woke them up in the morning and opened their curtains so they could see the sunshine. I usually got smiles.

Went to a concert, a revival on Broadway, to hear the Rascals just a few years ago. A gathering of old baby boomers who really enjoyed the songs, the memories, the moment.

It was the day after a big dance. The sky was blue with big puffy white clouds. First weekend in May. I'm in my '67 Mustang going to meet my friends. We're going waterskiing! Back in the 60's you were lucky it wasn't snowing. I rolled down the window, turned on the radio and the Rascals started singing this song. It was perfect.
I was 17 just started my first year of studying to be a registered nurse… my roommate had an awesome stereo and we would play this song when we were getting ready to go to class or clinical. So many great memories during that time.This song and Chrystal Blue Persuasion bring back those memories

I grew up in the country and we struggled just to keep food on the table.but i thank God i had a wonderful childhood growing up in the country .we never knew we were poor. This song reminds me of that time also. At least we had a radio.

The song reminds me of about 10 years ago, my brother died of cancer, my mom had died shortly before, i was going through financial problems, and a life time of depression. I finally starting coming out of it, and this song came on and the day was perfectly sunny and the skies were blue. I don’t think I’ve ever felt that kind of happiness before. I’ve tried to never look back. I hope your sunny day comes too.

I decided to take my friend's dog Tokie out for a walk with me while I drink my morning cup of coffee and this song came to mind. I bought this 45 single in the spring of 1968 while I was in junior high school in San Francisco, California. It is still one of the most beautiful songs ever written and performed. This has remained my favorite song since 1968. I remember driving, by myself, on 47 South headed to Wildwood, New Jersey at 5 o'clock in the morning. This song came over my radio and the greatest feeling in the world came over me.
Sadly by October 1968, I found myself in U.S. Marines heading to Vietnam.
The sad part of the 1960's - the Vietnam war! My brother had to go as well. I'll never forget the look on his face the morning he left for Vietnam.
Thank God that he, and you, made it back.
My brother is a person who loves to laugh, and make others laugh. So when he returned home, we had no idea how much he was suffering inside.
He never talked about his experiences in Vietnam until he got older and was diagnosed with PTSD, as are many war veterans.
My grandpa Gene also from Jersey headed to Vietnam with You!

My brother also headed to the army during this time. Caught agent orange and has never been healthy since then but we were so happy he came home.
