Banks too find decent part in my portfolio. HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, indusind bank, IDFC first, SBI, Bank of Baroda, Canara Bank, Indian Bank are in my present portfolio. I feel banking stocks will do well in next couple of years

Thank you Akshat, I have already built position in Utkarsh small finance bank as I am bullish on it. I would love to hear your commentary on it once you are done studying and analyzing it's growth potential.
Unlike other sectors, the finance sector is highly regulated by RBI, SEBI and therefore, it won't be easy for jio to capture the market by cutting cost only. They did have the benefit of having a parent company that can provide easy money for them but from now, it won't be that easy.
Your talk on advisiblity of investment in US Nasdaq in comparison with nifty fifty would be appreciated
Good video, but I have a query, though the growth of small finance banks is going to go at rocket speed, do we need to look at the NPA's conditions of these small finance banks? will the NPA grow substantially as their customer are from the low-earning groups and what if they don't pay well on time???
Commision charged by AMC is not more important. More important is return of fund. Black rock already in india with dsp mutual fund before three years.

May I suggest saying "Better Returns Require Higher Risk" rather than what you stated that "Better Returns Require Better Risk" which doesn't seem to communicate the right perspective; in fact Better Risk would give even lower return since it would be a safer investment than the big banks giving the nominal return of 14% as you stated.
Biggest lesson i learnt in 2023 in the stock market is that nobody knows what is going to happen next, so practice some humility and low a strategy with a long term edge.
Nobody knows anything; You need to create your own process, manage risk, and stick to the plan, through thick or thin, While also continuously learning from mistakes and improving.
True, initially I wasn't quite impressed with my gains, opposed to my previous performances, I was doing so badly, figured I needed to diverssify into better assets, I touched base with a portfolio-advisor and that same year, I pulled a net gain of 550k...that's like 7times more than I average on my own.
The topic was interesting. You ended the topic on an optimistic note with regard to small banks. Agreed the market cap at present is not comparable with large private sector banks.
Another aspect is that they have replaced the private money lenders in a big way and have supported small and retail businesses in a very big way. In the present day they are indispensable. They have been primarily set up in remote and unbanked areas to support small, medium and MSME sector. However, the past experience shows that business houses in these areas with deep pockets influence their growth and during election times influential parties promise writing off loans, leading to provisioning for bad debts.
Though their presence is mandatory for economic growth, but political and local factors decide their future growth.

General question. Stock price or M.f. NAV is expressed in INR. Why don't they declare in USD as well so that buyer or seller will have option to buy or sell in either of the currency.
Why I believe Jio Financial Services will be a winner in the consumer lending space is because of their Retail Network. For example, reliance digital physical stores could easily be leveraged to sell their consumer lending products.

Hope you & your family is doing good.
During this bull run, there are some stocks which are giving me a good profit. I want to continue holding those stocks throughout the bull run. But one think I am really confused is to where to put the stop loss. I saw some videos regarding placing the stop loss, & I cannot decide what is the right way to place it. Could you make a separate video on this part? Here is two strategies that I found:
1. Place your stop loss near the second support zone, as the first support zone is were much likely to hit & the stop can bounce up again. Also, if the stock hits the second support zone, then there is a high chance of trend reversal (downtrend).
2. Stop loss should be placed at the support zone minus the Average true range value.
Being a math nerd myself, I don't think investing and stop loss methods go hand in hand. A much better strategy would be to partially book your profits. It gives you far better risk management than any stop loss method.
See, if you believe in the stock you are holding, then it's better to buy it when it goes too low and stop loss does the opposite of that! In investing, you are supposed to sell a stock (partially) when it goes up and the stop loss method is contradictory to this method!
My suggestion: sell 20% of stock if you are between 20-40% gain.
Sell 40%, if your gain is over 60-70% but it totally depends on you..

Bank of India posted Rs 1550 Cr profit YoY.
They have allowed the borrowers to default without repaying the loans hence NPA has come down and shown good profit.Other PSU banks will also show profit as defaulters continue to be there at all times.
How banks are giving loans to these kinds of looters of public money without examining properly.

You forgot that while quoting 3% as retail population participation in stock market that India just about has that many people (3%) who pay taxes (people who have white money). Remaining all are tax evaders and they can't come into stock market because stock market returns are taxed and it'll come into white market.
