Wow these are such wonderful memories. Having worked at easy street studios back then in Bethnal Green and various reggaes shops ( which those in the know was the best place to see our local talent. Magical times let

@@mynewyork165 I’m nearly 60 and have been listening to Janet, Winstone, Peter H the list goes on since I was 16. Louisa Marks and Carroll Thompson have always been my favourite female lovers rocks artists from day one, although I love all of the artists, they are all great.
I grew up listening to Silly Games, and still feel the same way about Carroll Thompson winning, my choice, especially her vocals on The other side of love, amazing singer ❤️❤️
@@373mel She is good to. I guess she's talented in how she conveys the feelings in her songs. She has her own unique style, but I still disagree. I was classically trained, & I know that to hit those notes the way that Janet Kay does takes a specific type of voice, talent, & training. I don't know what type of training she received. It's possible that she didn't get any. But it takes a lot of skill to hit those notes, & the feelings of each song are there too.

Every artist is unique with their own style of singing etc but we like who we like and that’s that. Carroll won and as one my of my favourite female artists I’m chuffed for her.
