- I FIXED Dreams merch by redesign and rebranding his different merch clothing. After the recent Dream's, from dream SMP, merch drama on Twitter, I break down the two sides of the argument of whether Dream's UA-camr merch is bad or not. In this video, I use my knowledge as a Graphic Designer to breakdown How I designed a new logo and brand for dreams merch and make it look 1000% times better.

The redesign looks super cool, but if I had the choice I would get the original one. Just because I personally like the vibe of the smiley face more than the "corporate" logo.

Little bit of constructive criticism: the talking part in the beginning felt a bit long. I feel like the video would have been more enjoyable if you did a voice over over you sketching or something like that.
(This doesn't mean I think your video is bad, I actually like it a lot)
Thanks for the feedback! I guess I just need out a lot about design talk and went on a little to long lol. Also I totally get people preferring the original over the redesign, it’s a very drastic style change. Thank you for watching and the nice comment though!
yeah I liked dreams merch over other youtubers anyway coz theyre way too corporate and just messy sometimes, i will never understand the giant words down the sleeves look too lmao its just gross (nothing to do with this artists work btw)

That’s the plan! I’m going to be filming everything while I’m making it! I think the video is going to be a tutorial style depending on who would be interested.

That’s actually a really good redesign for UA-camr Merch. Even as a graphic designer in college, knowing that you know about the knights logo tells me that your probably a floridian (Because I currently live there too, not saying you’re from Florida if you’re not, lol.), I actually like the redesign. Idk what kind of Merch I would make if I were to make Merch of my own, but I’d probably make it revolve around my logo for simplicities sake. Regardless, the design, the simplicity, the fact that you went straight into the kind of Nike look for the Merch redesign, I really like tbh. Great job!

as a graphic designer who's a huge fan of dream this made my heart so happy, i am in LOVE with the movement type of feeling you did with the typeface, its super fitting for dream and something I haven't thought about before when also thinking about ways to improve his branding (lmao) sosososo good, great job :)

I think the reason I’ve always kinda liked his merch is because if you’re a fan you’ll know its Dream merch but if you’re not a fan it’s not all like in your face I’m a fan of Dream it’s just kind of simple cute and subtle😂:)

Im so sorry to tell you this /j but the first few designs you made for the stylized D really looks like the Danny Phantom logo... who's color scheme is neon green, black, and white.... guys I think we found the formula for a logo people can simp over lmao. great job, this is an awesome first video

I love that you redesigned the logo so that it would appease both Dream and people who had issues with the previous design! You did an excellent job at finding a middle ground between Dream’s logo and something more professional-like ^^

I really like the logo you made with the smiley face, the one with just his name feels incomplete to me as dream merch.
I really like these. it's simple but not that much and you can probably wear it outside without looking like you are wearing someone's merch.
the logo isn't everywhere like the merch of Game theory where you can see the logo every five seconds. won't be too embarrassed wearing that outside because you probs won't get weird looks.

I do think the design is better from an objective standpoint the logo is sleek and really nice but I think it kinda doesn’t meet the brief if that makes sense. I don’t think an adidas shirt is what dream merch should be. I agree the smiley face will always look unfinished and cheap as a logo on clothes but a type based logo doesn’t have the right feel either. I feel like redesigning dreams merch should be about how do you clean up the smiley face and make the actual clothes feel worth the money. I think the solid colours, especially the like green makes it feel cheap. I would love a colour blocked green and white hoodie like interpretations of dreams minecraft skin where the hood and arms are green but the body is white with some sort of dream logo (whether that a smiley face or your logo or whatever) place on it in a smart way. When I think of dreams merch I can’t help but think of some of the game theory merch that has come out int the past with similar green and black designs. A dream hoodie with a black hood and green body with a okey face on it feels less tcheap and nasty than red bubble merch pretty quickly as it isn’t a messy logo slapped on a solid colour like the smiley face.
I agree completely. As a graphic designer myself I admire the thought she put into it but it doesn't really work. It looks more corporate and like I'm shilling 50 bucks for the name rather than the merch itself. Dream's best merch will always be the milestone and holiday ones (I have the ghost one and I get complimented on it a lot). Though I do like your idea with the block color design. Could be interesting. Maybe not a central logo with the smile but it could be used for a milestone hoodie.

It's a good redesign but I still prefer Dreams smiley face merch cuz its more recognizable and having a text that just says Dream isn't something I'd buy, but that's just my opinion

I think a dream logo would look good if the word DREAM was bouncy and the capital A was a circle on the top and not a cone and then add the smiley face in the A
