All they need is for Minnesota to lose so they can beat Washington and get in the playoffs. I promise the Rams and Saints are praying they don't get in. I love Carson and hope he gets healthy and back to where he was before he got hurt beating the Rams last year but Nick Foles has been great. It's heart breaking as a long time Eagles fan to have seen Foles traded away even though he did nothing but play great then brought back as a backup. Then Carson comes in looking to me like a future hall of Famer but suffer those injuries. I want Foles to get another shot in the playoffs and I have confidence in him but the best case scenario is Carson getting healthy.
this might have been the best game I've ever been to. stadium went dead silent after foles got laid out in the 4th. 'foles' chant started, he rose to his feet to cheers and even louder cheers when he came out to lead the GW drive. hell of a last game at the linc as an eagle. legend.

This season was more impressive than winning the Super Bowl. This was the same roster where everyone said was the teams fault why they were 5-7 and why Wentz sucked...then Foles comes in and they beat 11-2 and 10-4 teams with 400 yards and 4tds in both...Foles deserved so much better than what this team and fans thought of him. Only had 3 real chances to shine in his career. All with philly. 2013, 2017, 2018. And in all of them he played like the best quarterback in the conference
Last Year - they said Foles was better then Wentz & I laughed. This year I just look & shake my head in amazement.
Lord J Wentz had that back injury ever since he was limited in October I think. The knee really affected his mind set. I think next year, since he isn’t worried about his knee, he’ll be ready.

Good game...Credit to the announcers too. They had a clear voice, were having fun, emoted very well, called a fun entertaining football game. And they were very impartial on the bad refereeing, siding with neither team, but just calling it how they saw it (and right)...I just want to give these guys credit because Chris Colins, Al Michaels, and sometimes Joe Buck, who all usually call the big games don't put much emotion into it, are lethargic, and are usually obviously biased towards one team. Thanks to the announcers for calling a football game like it should be called...
UNDER THE NEW RULES in which I am NOT in favor of - Can anyone tell me why the hit on Nick was OK - Most pertinently can someone tell me iwhy its OK to lead with your helmet against some QB's but not others - Fans should demonstrate for a FAIR GAME
dunamis I think you haven’t been able to lead with the crown of the helmet for quite some time. I remember demarco Murray trucking some DT with the crown of his helmet, and he got called. Clowney lowered his head and drove his helmet straight through the chest, and that won’t fly especially when you are hitting a qb. If he used his shoulder, or had his head tilted to a side, it would’ve been fine.

I know, this kid is AMAZING dude! I’m pulling for Houston on the AFC side, but I also want the Eagles to sneak into the playoffs. After the grit displayed by Watson to put his team on his back and will them back into the game, it was hard to root against him. Outside of my Saints, Deshaun Watson is my new favorite player.

As an eagles fan born and raised in philly, a lot of eagles fans actually love Foles just as much as Wentz if not more because Foles was here first and has done so many memorable things in his tenure with the birds from bombing 7 TD's on the Raiders to catching a TD pass in SB52..and i think Foles knows the way we all feel and thrives from that energy...he will always be a Philadelphia Eagle.
At first I was kinda sad about this loss but now I’m proud for my Texans they went up against a super bowl really good teams and lost to them by just a field goal by watching this game shows me we could beat any team gg eagles!

Deshaun Watson really is a bad boy. I say this as an Eagles fan. The scouts that said he couldn’t throw deep and wasn’t big enough were dead wrong.
They weren't wrong about his accuracy on down the field passes sometimes he'll overthrow guys.
They should have brought Foles 3 games before and the Eagles would have won the division. Wentz was just a "one hit wonder".

This game was instrumental to the 2018 Patriots winning their 6th Super Bowl. The Patriots were a game back on the Texans and were in danger of losing their 1st round bye as a 2nd seed in the AFC. When the Eagles beat the Texans in this game, they gave them an 11-5 record at the end of the season, tying with New England. Since the patriots had beaten the texans in week 1, the tie breaker went to the Patriots and they claimed the 2 seed, forcing the texans into the wild card where they lost to the rival colts.
In turn, Rivers and the garbage chargers defense got whooped in new england, a cold environment for a west coast team. As a Patriots fan, it's just the ultimate irony that the team that beat them in the super bowl helped them climb back into the playoff picture. Only time I've ever rooted for the eagles. Thanks guys!
