yes you should come to Spain! you'll be very welcome! there are many good musicians and dances like in the video or even better.. I love America and it's also a great place to live! kiss from madrid!!
My grandma used to tell me histories about when she moved from spain to Brazil and the entire family gathered every weekend inside the house to dance flamenco, i cant imagine how fun it was :) Thanks for sharing, thanks to you i can see what flamenco really is, and probably what my grandma and other family members did to have fun more than a century ago.
My sister Sylvia, was taught Flamenco by my ballet teacher. Also to play castanets. We went to see the great Antonio & Rosario. Our teacher was from Trinidad, an Anglo-Indian.
Wonderful performance, I really like the part where the two of them combine and do the foot stomp, or tap at tremendous speed and precision, great sense of rhythm they posses and very dexterous on their feet.
Partiendo de la base , de que es brasileña, y con 16 años no llevara mucho bailando....bastante merito tiene. Animo Sara, un saludo de Javi de Por Amor al Arte. bss
this makes me miss Spain more. I honestly don't care whether the economy has been bad there lately, but I'd love to go back there again and permanently settle
Fair comment! You can certainly say the same of the Irish tradition here, but still, its nice to have stuff like this on the street! People just having a bit of fun with music and performing for people. For people unfamiliar with the style, its a lovely display and you can see they have quite a crowd. I'm sure many of them sought out those men and women in local pubs too, where regulars perform a more true form of the tradition. I know I would :)
OLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE Everyone who is arguing over the time of flamencos creation seems to be a bit ignorant of the fact that it is unknown. We know there were waves of gypsy immagrations around 14th century and possibly earlier (quite likely from india). The music is a mix not of just gypsies but also jews, and arabs, all the ethnicities that were expelled during the reconquest. The development of the music is largely unknown although some of the first writings were appproximatly 2 cenurys ago.
yo soy mexicano pero me gustaría visitar la madre patria y ver flamenco en vivo!!! Hala Madrid también!!!
