While there is some jank and roughness in here, I get the same feel from these bosses as from the mods before 1.3 update or in the early days of it. Kinda nostalgic.
Never played this mod, my first impression in few words for every boss: Lesser twins: cool, not such a unique concept, but i see no problems. Granite crab: its so silly😂 hope sprites will improve, and do we have to fight it with fixed camera? Its disorienting. King slime: OH MY GOD you didn't have to go so over the top for just a king slime😅 4 forms is insane, I guess the mod mdkes eclipse possible in preHardmode, and i hope we will get frost and pumpkin moon slime. Marble fortress: same question about fixed camera, is it mandatory? Otherwise ok boss. Eater of worlds: I usually hate when worm bosses get tirned into non worm bosses, but I really like the concept and the fact you have to use the chasms is such a nice touch. You dont even need an arena, just some platforms in the air if you dont make it in time. Brain of ctulhu : cant say the same I said about EoW. I think its a bad fight, since you have to make a large arena to find the real brain, and it doesn't utilize natural gen at all. Maybe the mod changes the generation, so underground crimson is much larger, but i doubt it. Sunplate privateer: very cool boss, rare to see arrows being used by bosses in terraria, so thats very nice! Desert phantom: Dvd logo attack is goated Sceletron: I think it was made to fir the spooky scary sceleton vibe😂 too fast to catch any hand movements and there is so much visual clutter, cool and all, but how do you No-hit that??? Exto guardian: i dont get it. How it is a boss? You just kite and shoot. The bee king: hard to see projectiles, and the concept doesn't make sence, not a bad boss, but confusing. Aether wyrm: worm boss? Say less, I'm in. Also pretty neat to have a boss for aether biome, and no need for arena also elevates it. Deerclops: I see you incorparated some attacks from dont starve, and generally looks like a cool fight, but can we unfix camera? Wall of flesh: i cant stop laughing 😂😂😂 this looks so silly, the way its mouths fly, and different eyes attack, but the end was actually epic, its like WoF used domain expansion, or that one short video from "Малик" Quadruplets: neat idea, also, do they drop unique items depending on who you kill last? Or do they buff player's class atack when there is one remaining and it matches to the class the player is using? The destroyer: no. I accepted EoW because it was unique and fun. This is just big static UFO, give me my mech worm back. Sceletron prime: same as normal, but because its hardmode, this is acceptable. Queen slime: thats fun and all, but im sure it will be changed in furture updates, because thats just roo many references 😂 also, maybe she can take on the role of eating pumpkin and frost moons? Empress of light: hmm... I dont think thats epmress of light.
@close2metvthebluesquare279 firstly, not many games have worm bosses. Secondly, big dps goes brr. And its not as simple as being multisegmented, or being a huge target, because the dps has to feel earned. since you have to manipulate worm ai to concentrate many segments in one place, its a great way to reward positional play. Thirdly, game mechanics make it a great positional and resource management fight. For example, Destroyer can be shredded with basically any piercing weapon, but in the next moment, probes will decimate you. So you have to be wary of your health. In the meanwhile, you have to make sure the worm isn't going to trap and kill you with laser barrage or with its mouth. But maybe it wasn't you who got trapped, but the destroyer itself that is now clustered in small space and your weapons will be super effective. It's not to say that you have to be a worm boss to achieve it, but the worm formula inherently has it.
Random idea but what if the eyes of cthulhu dropped a destructive missile launcher type weapon when killed, since al ot of these bosses require big arenas it would majorly help in building them.
How in the world does queen slime contain nameless Oh well I guess since sans, UA-cam, league of legends, the spelunky ghost and the erchius horror from Starbound were there somehow, I guess anything would be possible for cursed bosses
Could you make it so you arent forced to fight the Sunplate Privateer so high up. If you aren't on a large world then the low gravity in space makes it super difficult to dodge any of the projectiles especially the homing fireballs which pretty much knock you into a chain of getting hit by them due to knockback pushing you upwards. Also I don't have a proposal to fix this stuff but your arenas for the underground bosses (Marble Fortress, Granite Crab, and Desert Phantom) are unrealistic for most players to build especially so early on in the game. I might as well also include that when you are fighting the Sunplate Privateer in space, you are pretty much forced to be very far from the boss in order to dodge projectiles, this in turn makes it incredibly hard to hit the small hitboxes on the cannons, so could you maybe increase their hitbox? Also in my opinion it doesn't make sense for the cannons to deal contact damage but I could see at least one reason why they would.
Reasonable concerns, but unfortunately I can't give any solid answers as to what I might do about them, since balancing is a tricky business. I can confirm however that the cannons don't deal contact damage. It might just seem that way because they fire pretty often and being right next to them is almost guaranteed to get you hit
as the worst person at dodging I know of, I can say I'd fail miserably in all of these fights. in my first calamity playthrough with my brother I couldn't even beat the torch god until I had post moon lord gear.
I gotta say, these bosses were all amazing up until the end, I mean queen slime is just a bunch of memes, and the like… we just have the radiance, which has an easier attack pattern than EoL anyways

Most of the themes seen in the video are used in the mod, but some aren't, like "I Am All of Me" and "Simple Sight". The West Tower is actually on the west. You can look up how East and West work in Terraria to verify it like I had to

He basically does everything vanilla Deerclops does, what with launching debris into the air, he summons shadow hands if you get too far away, and he even shoots a laser like the Winter Festival version of Deerclops. So, this is actually more faithful to Don't Starve than vanilla Deerclops
@portalmech4770 but they lose the main attack of ice spikes, which was from Don't Starve. Not to mension how the ice balls were a Terraria invention, and the official laser was fired strait ahead. Not to mension all the added nonsence. Put simply, you removed the parts from deerclops which were acurate, and adding a laser which acts nothing like the original doesn't count.
To be fair, vanilla Eater of Worlds is just "spam Vilethorn, and you do have to dodge its projectile attacks or you will just die, no matter how many bombs you spam
