Every beat a producer makes isn't a hit. Sometimes you've got it, sometimes you don't. Look at any production discography. For those 20 number ones, there are 200 beats that didn't chart and another 500 that didn't even get a placement.

The fact that Timbo did not recognize the sample doesn’t mean that he’s a bad producer some of those producers don’t listen to others producers music, especially if it’s an obscure song number seven or something something that’s not popular and the flip was OK for what it was it’s not like he was getting paid to sit there to do that. Timbaland, firstly is one of the most accomplished beatmaker/producer. He isn't even a sample based producer. He did it for free.
