Sending my deepest sympathies to the Morgan family and the entire Morgan Heritage community on the loss of Peter Anthony Morgan. His legacy in music will continue to inspire and uplift countless hearts. May his soul rest in peace.
I'm white and from Northern Ireland my mum married a rasta man back in 2000 and took on the Rastafarian lifestyle she absolutely loved Morgan Heritage capelton bob Marley to name a few she recently passed away suddenly on holiday at the age of 60 I wanted to give her the best Rastafarian funeral I could on my budget so I got a rasta flag with a lion and had it draped over her coffin her flowers were rasta colours we had a minister but it wasn't a very religious ceremony I had rasta readings done and I knew that two bob Marley songs would be played but I wanted more so I contacted Morgan Heritage and asked them which one of their songs would be suitable for her funeral and they very kindly got back to me right away and told me the name of a song they had written when their father passed away and it was perfect and we had it played at mums cremation I know she would have been looking down on me and my kids happy that we had done what we could to give her the best send off ..... Since she's passed I've also started listening to rasta music a bit more too and I can now see why mum liked MH so much I've lost count of the amount of times she's seen all the artists c
My dad used to play this song when we were kids, he's still a huge fan,I swore that my first child must be named Morgan and now I have a 3 year old son by the name Morgan,I'll tell him where his name came from when he grows up
I remember i first heard this song on radio on a bus in my home town (Nairobi,Kenya) and it took me over two years to track its title just to hear it again....lovely song
I,m an african lady who would one day LOVE to visit this Beautiful Island blessed with SO MANY GIFTED ARTISTS! This wonderful country is blessed with the most diverse artists i,m in awe whenever i click on the word REGGAE and i see and and listen to different artists all saying the SAME THING IN DIFFERENT TUNES!!! Freddie Mcgregor,s " Push turn to shove" when i,m burnt after a love one,s turned out to be a RAT! Bob Marley,s "One Love" when i,m at peace with the world, Garnet,s "Here i come"
This is a song that gives me motivation to fight for living more and fight for those in need . Praise be to the most high respect to bob Marley and the heritage family. ‘I and I’ Jah bless
Its 'cause life is so unfair In this sweet Paradise And this is what we swear Out a many one people Tell me can you see that any where Everyone treated equal And this is why So many die Leaving so many to cry Rest Easy Sir Peetah Morgan 😢
2006 was the BEST year for reggae and dancehall music in my opinion: All the hit songs are now classics from temperature, dutty wine, bun him, serious times, behind these prison walls, coming over tonight, church heathen... 2006 was the closest we came to being as good as the 90's.
true, glad you noticed it, but church heathen is 2007. 2006 was when morgan heritage was hot, richie spice, shaggy- ready fi di ride, shaggy and olivia- wild tonite, shaggy- ultimatum
No matter what year it is this song will always be a hit. It talks about all the injustice and truth happing not only in Jamaica but also so many country’s and how people like the teacher turn a blind eye 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
2020 already . Remember when I first went out to summerjam festival and saw buju and sizzla. Nights Uclub tent one million people party on this riddim and everyone freak out for Jahr cure , natural black and all the big songs on the riddim . I think it was 2006/7/8 ? Anyways time fly by so fast. 2k20 wi seh much love to each and everyone wherever u are and may God bless you no matter if you say Jah or Jesus stay blessed and firm in the years to come
everytime I hear this tune it takes me to a time I really questioned the reason for so many issues our world faces and truly I always leave it to Jah up above. One day we will get all the answers. #Bless.
This song is so true in every sense, not just in in Jamaica, but entire Caribbean and world over.I was living in Jamaica half my life and it is still one of the most beautiful place to be.I have made many friends while studying at Edna Manley of visual and performing Arts.
The lyrics just somes this world up ,the rich get richer the poor get pourer stay blessed people I wish you well this song brings back my child hood 💙👊✝️💙🎶
Jamaica were the first people to fight for justice and equal rights? I love this people so much. Sure tell me how come we see all these problems and we are reach African?
My love for this song is eternal.I am addicted to this lyrics,it learnt me how humility meant a lot and portray a definite meaning of mankind which is overwhelmed by so many suffering and torments!❤❤️❤️🇳🇦🇳🇦🇳🇦🇳🇦🇳🇦🇳🇦
Peter Morgan's message in this song also reflects how the situation it was back in 2007 here in Kenya where many people lost their lives, children went to bed hungry, cost of living became hectic. May his soul rest in peace
1976 and still listening! Thumbs up who's with me, love this sweet Russian music more than everything else! Thankfull they ended the cold war with this song, so much history in this, yeah!
God is what we created to get people to work together. Government was created so we could survive. Both are myths... but nowadays we only only need one, and it's not god.
