I partnered up with James another casual Hyrox athlete and together we dip our toes into Hyrox Doubles Pro. The increased weight and insanely fast competition makes for a considerably higher octane experience.
In this video we follow our race touching on what you can do if the plan you have falls apart. I touch on the ability differential (the ability gap between you and your partner) and what you can do about it.
This video also has a review of the venue and we touch on what where Hyrox dropped the ball at this event.

Oh hey....I'm much more chatty....normally like lmao. That's probably the weirdest way of been recognized to date....😁😁😁😁
It's understable why you would chat after watching this video, we knew you were in heat before us so had my eye out for ya. We struggled on the sled both push and pull, not the biggest of blokes, being 70kg it was 3x body weight and 2x body weight but nailed the other stations with short sharp bursts. Need to run more and practice heavy sleds. Paris hyrox indy next up for both of us
Another thing to add is fair play to James for calling out he was struggling. Many people would keep quiet (because of ego or not wanting to “let you down”) and then it would have gone massively wrong.

Yeah absolutely, James communication to me was critical, it likely saved the race. I'm happy that ego doesn't really exist in our friendship.

Yeah James knew he could tell me, obviously I care about my friend more than I do the result. Fortunately an early shift in the plan meant he could keep going and get over that line with his head held high! Top bloke
John hasnt done any doubles yet so it makes sense for opens, try and get as low as we can go. We are about running the same speed at the moment so we can find the red line together.
