    This works 100% things to note is to read your radio first :)
    The other thing (out of his control) is that the website has changed, the information is now on the left, select database, select data dumps, select user.csv
    Then as he said in the Cps, go to tool, import, digital contact list, select the saved csv file, click import, then once done with a "successful" prompt you can then program to the radio and tick the two boxes...
    Import will take a long time compared to the normal programming on the radio

    Some time ago I successfully updated the firmware to 1.27; I'm out of college for now and attempting to import the Digital Contact List, I get import from error file---15 (file location) and after I click ok, the drop box says Import Complete. This is messed up. For giggles I try to write it to the radio and it shows cannot write, contact list is empty? Tried to download the user.json file it came up to a notepad file and I couldn't save or download except as a text file. I even used the conversion and it gave me errors.

    I have become very frustrated with DMR....Been a ham for over 50 years and done it all but this stumps me. FOr example, the patest version of the CPS software will not allow you to import a .cvs file and gives you, in poor English, elaborate instructions on how to covert a .CVS file to the .rdt format that apparently is compatible. I'm about ready to sell this Anytone and get back to Ham radio.

      you are mixing stuff. CSV is the data format file. RDT is CPS Project file. If you need help, let me know

    If I already have a contact list & I just want to update it to a more current version, do I need to wipe the old list first or can I just import? I don’t want to create duplicates.

    Hello.
    How to solve encoding problem when importing Talkgroups names like this “Περιοχή 1 Εθνική” to Anytone 878?

    • @BridgeComSystemsInc
      @BridgeComSystemsInc  Рік тому

      Unfortunately that is something that would need to be addressed directly with Anytone.

    So what's the point of the NØGSG Contact Manager with this? Just got this radio, and trying to figure it out. THanks!

      Contact Manager is great for managing a contact list outside of the CPS software. This is great for generating it automatically (since it can download the list itself) and it's great for sharing a contact list between different radio models to keep them synced with one another.

      You will see them in the contacts list on your radio and you will also see the appropriate contact information displayed on the screen when you receive a transmission from that contact.

      Make sure you are running your CPS in Admin Mode. This means right clicking on the startup icon and pressing the 'run as administrator'.

    For the life of me, I can not make this work! Everything goes well until the very end when it comes time to send it to the radio. It just says that the contact list is empty and there is nothing to send to the radio

      @@BridgeComSystemsInc I had the same error and seems to be a problem with the dump or is a bug during the import I see that first entry (line 1) from digital contact list is empty and that could be the problem , I try to delete the header but doesnt work, once is populated we are not able to shift up or delete the entire row.

    • @anuarferrera

      The solution is simple , problem is that csv file is not formated properly for the Anytone , for example the Name is splited into 2 colunms, First and Last name while on CPS is only by Name, then needs to be concatenated, therefore, you must download the Json file instead from radioID.net (json.user) then with the software provided on the CPS folder you should have something called AnyTone jsontocsv.zip , so need to uncompress and run the exe file, do the conversion from Json to CSV and that's it, you are ready to import a new CSV and valid file for the Anytone CPS, 73's

    Why one would want to add every DMR users contact to their radio just baffles me.

    • @BridgeComSystemsInc
      @BridgeComSystemsInc  2 роки тому

      You're free to do whatever you want with your radio. Having every registered DMr user in your radio will allow ensure you'll see their name rather than a long DMR ID.
