Tekken fans have always been the worst. They hated tekken 7 on release as they found it too defensive compared to tekken 6. Hate the first half love the 2nd half.

I won't be surprised if SF is the guest character for next year. Same way they added akuma a bit later, itll probably be Luke or Ryu goes in for next year guest character then hopefully one of a VF6 character as homage to the OG 3d fighting game. But honestly guest characters have always been more underplayed compared to legacy. Right now the top most played characters in tekken 8 is like Jin, Bryan, Kazuya, Steve etc despite new characters like reina etc they aren't seen as much. The next few DLC prob will be legacy as usual then the next winter another guest.
