    I have a Super Tenere. I used the MRA Touring Xcreen on my OEM screen. Made a huge difference. The part I was surprised about was it was quieter when you put the MRA straight up and down. If you tilt it back it seems to make more noise. My pillion says that she is finally totally happy with the wind when she rides on the back. Enough said.

      I missed this comment. I agree. Cheers!

    Good clip, i would like to mention the tour screen spoiler operates much more effeciently when using the shorter brackets but require drilling. Basically the closer the spolier to the main screen the better & also there is less flex of spoiler at speed.

      Thanks for the feedback. I didn't want to drill, so this was a better solution for me. I don't recall any flexing at (ahem) speeds. But it was a few bikes ago now. Thanks for posting!

    Beautiful bike Richard. Maybe BMW will add an electric windscreen at some point along with heated seats.

      @RichDunn  5 років тому

      I'm surprised a heated seat isn't standard. But I don't think they'll ever go to an electric screen (unlike the Tiger 1200) because it introduces too much weight high up and at the front, which is not good for dynamics.

    Thanks for the review. Did you fit any additional support brackets to support the stock screen? Thanks Neil

    • @RichDunn
      @RichDunn  4 роки тому +1

      Hi, Neil. No it doesn't need them. The MRA X-Creen clips to the stock screen very solidly, and neither flex or vibrate at cruising speeds up to 100 mph. Definitely recommended in cold weather months and for high speed long distance freeway use. I do remove it in the summer once it gets to 80F or so, just for the extra cooling airflow. Hope that helps!

    So Richard, you’re demonstrating the Tour version and not the Sport version? I’m after one for my 2015 KTM 1290 SA, and I’m unsure whether I should get the smaller sport version or the tour version.

    Great review, but.... Do you know if it will fit the standard 1250GS?

    • @RichDunn
      @RichDunn  3 роки тому

      I believe so, it's pretty generic. One of the RIDE ON crew Erik has one on his Multistrada, which is about the same width, and loves it. I've only heard good things about them and leave mine all year round. It's significantly better, particularly at higher to naughty speeds.

    Hey have youre bike been updated to have the dynamic pro mode? So you can adjust the tc abs engine mapping level within every riding mode?

    • @RichDunn
      @RichDunn  5 років тому

      Hi there. Yes, I had it plugged in at the 500 mile service. It provides additional riding modes. But (unlike some Ducati's) you cannot tailor the traction control/abs or mapping yourself. You can only select the new modes, which alters all of those parameters, but only in line with the defaults that BMW have set. I usually have throttle response in Dynamic mode, and suspension in Road on the straights and Dynamic on twisty roads.

    are the U clamps that goes on the screen made of metal or plastic?

    • @RichDunn
      @RichDunn  Рік тому +1

      That was a very long time ago. But from memory, they are thick plastic. Plenty strong enough. I never had any problems with it, and used it for at least 20,000 miles. Still recommended. Hope that helps?

    Can you link that specific part and clamp kit please Richard ?

      @RichDunn  5 років тому

      Hi, Jamie. I got mine from Revzilla. Just select "Clamp On" from the drop down kit to get both the screen and clamp on kit ($162): www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/mra-x-creen-tour-variable-windscreen-spoiler-blade

    Well is it any good?- torn between that and a larger screen by givi or Wunderlucht

    • @RichDunn
      @RichDunn  5 років тому +1

      Yes it works extremely well; better than the Wunderlich lip I had before it on my 1200. Three friends have it fitted to their bikes (two 1250GSA's and a 1200 MTS) and all highly rate it.
