I have heard that meal plan card get exhausted very quickly even if we eat all meal in our residence.

Hey! From my personal experience and that of my friends, we have never ran out of money on our meal plan card all together. The only thing I'll say is I've found if you only eat meals with your flex dollars then they will run out before the end of the semester but there are still lots of residence dollars you can use. Whats the average cost of your meals?

Students living in first-year residence are required to also purchase the meal plan, so that should help give you a sense of what to budget for the cost of food for the year: food.ubc.ca/meal-plans/residence-meal-plan/
The per meal basis can vary depending on what you eat or what you might supplement with groceries, etc.
