Thank you for confirming what I found out as well and I was freaking out because I thought I'd have to pay a lot of money to get the seals redone but like you said just clean the holes out and then take through the carwash a couple times and I haven't had a problem since. You can also stick a small piece of foam near the two holes and will allow it to drain after it rains

I have the same problem with my 07’ but it’s only a problem with the front passenger door. I’ve found that just opening the door and put two plastic bottle caps under the rubber molding for about 10 minuets it will drain out and when done just pull the caps back out. I will say though I back the car up the driveway putting the car at a slight incline to get all the water to the front end of the door.

I've never removed the door seal, I take a small screw driver, or a nail and clean out the drain holes, hold out on the seal while it drains or stick a bottle cap behind the seal until it drains with the door open. The more you park under trees the more debris that gets in around the windows. Like helicopters off trees, etc.. I've drained about a gallon of water from my door before. Sometimes you will hear it sloushing around in the door, or take each door after a heavy rain and open and shut it quickly and you will hear the water. Eventually inside the door will start rusting out from the inside.

I've had to do the same to my 2006 Ford five hundred. It seems the rear doors get worse, but I've had the water in all four doors. Just clean out the drain holes occasionally and leave the doors open until the water drains.

The cowl under the front window needs to be opened screens put in to cover the slats. Your doors will fill with water and front cowl will leak into the car if you park them under a pine tree in winter. The amount of fallout built up in the cowl was close to fully blocking both drains. Dodge caravans have bad cowl blockage from pine trees as well. It alway the F...ing pine needles too. Trust me I detail cars and was taken by the comfort of the Ford 500.

I loved the water in my doors. I had a 2006 but my friends could not figure out what the sloshing sound was while I was driving. Nice video, my transmition blew so I got a 2000 lincoln towncar. The key pad doesn't work, so i"m reasearching to see if i can put the Fivehundred's keypad onto the towncar. Any suggestions?

Take molding off and look at the drain spots and take it and cut out the spot where it is on the location

I have an 05 and have water in both back doors and I'm wondering if that's the reason why Windows won't come down.

    • @mikeluv3773

Your window railings might be rusted because of the water. I am afraid you would need to take the inside door panels out and inspect the railings . Hope that helps.
